Jennifer Hegseth Has Worn Some Questionable Outfits

If Pete Hegseth is out and about performing his duties as the U.S. defense secretary, chances are that you'll see his wife, Jennifer Hegseth, by his side. It seems the former Fox News producer's new job is to shadow her husband, and she often does so in unfashionable 'fits. Jennifer is one of the many Trump women whose outfits totally missed the mark in 2025 when she unknowingly showed support to the Democrats in March by wearing pink in solidarity against Donald Trump, per the Daily Mail. While at the Capitol, the mom of four blended in with the left-wing lawmakers, making this a fashion oopsie she probably won't forget.

Pink seems to be Jennifer's unlucky color, as another Easter outfit had us side-eyeing her fashion choices. Perhaps being behind the camera on Fox didn't allow her to level up sartorially, because she frequently makes the wrong choices. From wearing the once-popular denim trend that's totally outdated now to tacky fur-trimmed coats, Jennifer's clothing picks have us begging her to get a stylist.

Jennifer Hegseth's skinny jeans were so outdated

While there will always be die-hard skinny jeans fans, every fashionista knows that the super-tight look is out — for now, at least. Too bad Jennifer Hegseth didn't get the memo when she appeared on Katie Miller's podcast in December 2025 with Pete Hegseth, wearing gray jeggings. The frayed hems combined with the faded slate color were so 2010, especially with her black pumps. Compared to Miller, who wore wide-leg jeans in a dark wash and bright red heels, Jennifer looked completely retro.

Jennifer Hegseth needed to mind the gap in her shirt

Button-up shirts are a classic closet staple, but they can be tricky to wear if you're well-endowed. Jennifer Hegseth clearly didn't do a quick check before leaving the house in December 2024, when she showed up at a federal meeting in Washington, D.C., displaying a large gap between the buttons of her white shirt. Not only was her being at the gathering as someone not employed by the government inappropriate, but the peekaboo shirt also gave unprofessional vibes. Next time, Jennifer should keep double-sided tape on hand for these moments.

Jennifer Hegseth mistook the Easter Egg Roll for a club night

Jennifer Hegseth got the pastel pink color right for the annual Easter event at the White House on April 6, 2026, but she sure missed the mark on her style. The jacket she wore featured large, garish crystal buttons and fur cuffs, which looked more appropriate for a night on the town rather than a family-friendly event. Sure, it's still chilly on the East Coast, but Hegseth could have chosen anything other than that cringey outerwear, which we wouldn't have worn even during a girls' night out.

Jennifer Hegseth's half-veteran t-shirt was disrespectful

Kat Timpf once joked that being married to someone who has served in the military makes them a "half veteran," and Jennifer Hegseth was tone-deaf enough to proudly display the t-shirt gifted to her by the television personality. In an Instagram post shared by Pete Hegseth in May 2024, he wrote, "Just because she doesn't have a DD214, doesn't mean she didn't serve (well, kind of!)." One disgruntled Instagram user replied, "There's no such thing as a half veteran. You either served, or did not. What a disgrace to the women and men who actually SERVED."

Jennifer Hegseth tried to have a Studio 54 moment and failed

Sparkly jumpsuits were a once-popular fashion trend from the 1970s that Jennifer Hegseth attempted to revive at the "Melania" premiere, except she dismally failed. Although the cut of the jumpsuit was timeless, the all-over sequins just looked tacky and outdated, particularly when combined with a cheap-looking black belt. Hegseth's boring accessories didn't help her 'fit either, as a splash of color would have brought the head-to-toe black ensemble some life. This was one red carpet moment that was both regrettable and forgettable at the same time.

Jennifer Hegseth's fur coat was so tone-deaf

With so many different outerwear options these days, there's no reason to wear a real fur coat, which is what Jennifer Hegseth appeared to have on for a state dinner in November 2025. Not only is buying fur coats unethical, but parading an outfit that probably costs thousands of dollars is tactless, with one Instagram user replying to Hegseth's post, "I'm quite disgusted in the grandiose display of USG whilst American citizens are struggling to pay bills and/ or put food on their tables, especially our great Veterans!!"
