Side-By-Side Pics Of Ariana Grande Make Her Weight Loss Hard To Ignore
It wouldn't be out of place to see Ariana Grande rock the headlines for a successful album or her absolutely stunning style transformation, but the chart-topper has since generated buzz for another thing entirely. The "Eternal Sunshine" vocalist has set tongues wagging over her drastic weight loss, which has been seriously concerning fans since it first became public knowledge when Grande was still filming "Wicked" back in 2023. And it is a more than reasonable thing to be concerned about, as the change has been very rapid and noticeable. As seen in the image below, the side-by-side pictures of Grande in 2020 (left) and 2026 (right) are like night and day.
Grande's 2020 self has fuller cheeks, while her 2026 self sports protruding cheekbones and a more visible collarbone. However, the "7 Rings" singer has not been oblivious to the speculation and fan comments about her weight loss. In April 2023, Grande took to TikTok to address it and implied that she may be healthier now than she was previously. "The body that you've been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body," she revealed, "I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly." The hitmaker encouraged her fans to be more mindful when discussing someone's appearance, with the reminder that "you never know what someone is going through".
Ariana Grande is allegedly struggling with being in the spotlight
Having your appearance picked apart and examined would chip away at anyone's state of mind, as Ariana Grande could attest. The "Wicked" actor got real about her mental health several times in the past, though now sources close to Grande have claimed that the pressures of fame have severely impacted her both physically and mentally. The demands of her pop star career, her troubled relationships, and the "Wicked" press tour have done her health no favors, and may allegedly be the reason for her concerning weight loss. "It's physically so demanding. I don't think your body knows when it needs to eat," the source informs Page Six. "It's non-stop running. It's superhuman."
However, while her day-to-day schedule may be leading to the "Victorious" star's physical transformation, another source revealed to Page Six that Grande could actually be more than fine with her appearance. "I never got the sense from her that she didn't like who she was or how she looked," the insider told the publication. But it never hurts to give Grande some grace, as the star has been through a boatload of trauma in the past, from the sudden passing of her then-boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller, to the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing during her concert. Despite this, there can be no denying she's still a force to be reckoned with, as the star forges ahead with her career and is rumored to be working on her next album.
