What We Know About Pam Bondi's First Two Brief Marriages
Pam Bondi has experienced a hiccup in her political career as President Trump has fired her from her high-flying role as U.S. attorney general in April 2026. But with the spotlight on her, there are other aspects of Bondi's life that has been put under examination. And no, we're not talking about the outdated trends Bondi has worn since becoming attorney general, her outfits that missed the mark, or her biggest beauty mistakes. It's her love life. Her two brief marriages, to be exact.
Bondi had a short-lived marriage to Garret Barnes (1990 to 1992), whom she married when she was still trying to make a name for herself in the legal field. After that, she was married to Scott Fitzgerald, with their marriage lasting from 1996 to 2002. Not much is known about either Barnes or Fitzgerald, as both men have kept a low profile and Bondi herself remains tight-lipped. But while Bondi has not tied the knot again since her two divorces, her next two relationships are much more high-profile.
Pam Bondi has not given up on love
Despite her failed marriages, it seems Pam Bondi has not given up on the notion of finding a lifelong partner. The former attorney general for Florida started a new romance with ophthalmologist Greg Henderson (it's uncertain when the couple began dating). The pair seemed to have gotten serious enough in their relationship to get engaged in 2012, but they never made it down the aisle as the two split up in 2015. The reason for the couple's breakup isn't known, but Bondi had no trouble seeking love once more as she embarks on her most public relationship to date with John Wakefield.
Bondi and Wakefield, who is the founder of Varner Wakefield Equity Partners, officially started dating in 2017 , and the couple has lasted longer than any of Bondi's previous relationships. And it seems they have no trouble sharing their love with the world, as seen in several pictures the former attorney general posted on Instagram. President Donald Trump has even given Wakefield his stamp of approval when he accompanied Bondi during her swearing-in ceremony as U.S. attorney egneral. "I just want to introduce her very, very handsome husband," the president said (per AOL), despite the pair reportedly not being married. He added, "I hate being around him. He looks too good. He's been a tremendous factor with Pam and just a beautiful relationship." We're not too sure if Wakefield has any warm feelings towards the president now, considering Bondi's firing.
