Lauren Sánchez And Husband Jeff Bezos Can't Escape Rampant Divorce Rumors

As the wife of one of the wealthiest men in the world, there can be no doubt that Lauren Sánchez Bezos is living a lavish lifestyle. But it seems the socialite might soon be taking a hit to her bank account as rumors are swirling that their marriage is already on the rocks. The pair attended the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscars Party, and while Kim Kardashian's extra-high heels drew eyes, the Bezos' awkward interaction on the red carpet also drew attention. Tongues started to wag about the state of the couple's relationship, and in this short clip posted on X, a close-up shot showed Sánchez Bezos shooting her husband an annoyed look. She then proceeded to tell him to go off to the side so she could pose alone.

While this interaction could be discounted as a one-off, sources close to the billionaire couple confirmed that the future of their marriage looks bleak. An insider exclusively shared the juicy details with celebrity journalist Rob Shuter's Substack, "Naughty But Nice," and revealed that the love is fading fast. "Everything changed the moment they got married, the honeymoon phase is over," the source said. Moreover, the couple's habits are totally disparate, with the source unveiling that Sánchez Bezos' relentless, partygoer lifestyle is not one that aligns with her husband's. Although the former journalist's ostentatious Venice wedding appeared to herald good times ahead for the couple, it seems reality has proven far more disappointing.

Lauren Sánchez Bezos allegedly wants the spotlight all to herself

It seems Lauren Sánchez Bezos is not content with all the perks of being married to the Amazon founder, as it's alleged that she wants to hog all the attention to herself now. This certainly adds an extra layer to the odd Vanity Fair red carpet interaction with her husband, and perhaps is an explanation as to why she didn't want him by her side in front of all those cameras. Sources continued to inform Rob Shuter about this strange development, with Shuter sharing it all on a segment of Maureen Callahan's "The Nerve" podcast.

According to Shuter, now that Lauren Sánchez Bezos has firmly bagged the billionaire e-commerce founder, she believes that it's time to finally have her ambitions be realized. "She now wants to be a star in her own right. She's not taking a second seat to him," Shuter told Callahan. With the rose-tinted glasses allegedly dissipating for the couple and increasing speculation of clashing lifestyles, it remains to be seen if the pair could withstand the turbulence wrecking through their marriage.
