While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's marriage seems to be hanging by a thread these days, there is another royal marriage that could be going the same way and there are glaring signs that Princess Beatrice's marriage may be on the rocks. She married Italian businessman Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July 2020 and has two children with him, but allegations of a strain in the marriage are said to be linked to the chaos her parents' dealings with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has wrought. Although you would assume trials and tribulations would bring a couple closer together, sources close to the pair say that the opposite is happening. "She wants to stay together, but he seems more and more distracted by work and travel," an insider exclusively shares with Daily Mail. "Just when she needs him most, he's been pulling away."
And Mozzi's Instagram account seems to be telling the same story. The last post featuring his wife was in August 2025, which was one made in celebration of the Princess' 37th birthday. After that, there are mostly professional shots for his interior design business, Banda Property, with no mention of Princess Beatrice anywhere. According to insiders, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's continuous fall from grace (he lost his 'prince' title in October 2025) screams bad news for Mozzi's booming business, which is why Mozzi has been distancing himself. This makes you wonder if Mozzi's entire reason for marrying into the royal family was a business decision, and with how he's going about it, it's certainly not helping his case.
Princess Beatrice could be losing more than just her husband
It seems there will be more hard times ahead for Princess Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie. Not only is Princess Beatrice allegedly tackling a strained marriage, but there has also been speculation that she and her sister might be losing their 'princess' titles just as their disgraced father had lost his. Naturally, the loss of this title would mean losing the privileges that come with it. And like her sister, Princess Beatrice is not so keen on not being considered a 'princess' anymore.
"Their economic prospects depended on staying within the royal family," Andrew Lownie, who published "Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York" in 2025, exclusively shares with People. "Their jobs in client relations are based on being princesses." It doesn't help that Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie aren't actually full-time working royals, and with their dwindling reputation in tandem to that of their scandal-ridden parents, they're already skating on thin ice. Moreover, the future King, Prince William, might take a much harder stance on his cousins in future, seeing as he reportedly had never really liked Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Regardless, things are looking bleak for Princess Beatrice, and we can only hope she can weather the storm.
