Mormon Wives' Star Layla Taylor's Experience With GLP-1s Is A Cautionary Tale

Ozempic is certainly the obsession of Hollywood denizens, and the total transformations of celebs who've taken GLP-1s have been widely observed. But regardless of the hot buzz around 'Ozempic face' or 'Ozempic neck', there are some celebs who have bared all about their bad experiences with Ozempic, and one of them is "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star Layla Taylor. In an Instagram post she made on March 16, 2026, Taylor wrote in the caption that she had long been battling an eating disorder, adding that she is also 'still in treatment and no longer on [GLP-1s]'.

It's no secret that the reality TV personality has aspirations of becoming a professional model, but that may have been one of the factors that indirectly resulted in her abuse of the diabetic drug. After being turned down by Ford modeling agency, Taylor attributed the rejection to her weight. When sharing her struggles with GLP-1s with her "Mormon Wives" castmates, she details how painful her body feels while admitting she's addicted to the drug. "I know that it's going too far, and I'm taking it too far, but I, like, can't stop," Taylor tearfully shares in Season 4 of "Mormon Wives", per The Looker. And while it's a relief to hear that Taylor is now recovering, it goes to show that taking weight loss drugs is not all it's cracked up to be.

Layla Taylor had cosmetic surgeries before taking a GLP-1

Aside from opening up about her struggles with her body image and taking GLP-1s, Layla Taylor let the world know that she's undergone several cosmetic procedures. But unlike her experience with GLP-1s, Taylor is more than happy with the results of these surgeries. The TikTok influencer revealed that she essentially desired a mommy makeover after having her two sons in order to boost her confidence again. "I had kids young and I love my babies to death but they screwed up my body and I wanted to feel hot again," Taylor shares in an episode of Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea" podcast.

The star revealed she has had a breast augmentation, a tummy tuck, and rhinoplasty, along with getting Botox and lip fillers. She sent the before and after pictures exclusively to Daily Mail, highlighting how truly satisfied she was with her new look. "I wanted to take back my confidence and I knew plastic surgery was one of the only ways I could for myself," Taylor told the publication. The star has clearly been through a lot of emotional and physical turmoil, but we are glad she's finding some happiness in her appearance while also getting the help she needs.
