From plastic surgery to popping pills and rigorous exercise routines, there seems to be nothing Hollywood stars won't do to look good. One recent trend is the use of Ozempic. This medication is a semaglutide, typically used for adults with Type 2 Diabetes. 

While Ozempic has not been approved for weight loss, many people, including celebrities, are taking it to lose weight. The way it works is by slowing digestion and mimicking a hormone that tells your brain that you're full. When used for weight loss, Ozempic leaves its users with distinct physical characteristics, including what is now known as 'Ozempic face.' There are numerous celebrities who have fallen victim to 'Ozempic face.' The look is gaunt and very noticeable, which is how we're able to speculate on whether celebrities have been using Ozempic or not. Some celebrities have even spoken about their bad experiences with Ozempic. There are some notable red carpet appearances that sparked Ozempic rumors, and we're going to address them.

Singer and actress Ariana Grande arrived at the 2025 Oscars red carpet wearing a custom Schiaparelli pink gown. Her shoulders, collarbones, arms, and neck were all on display. We can't help but notice how prominent her shoulders are. Dr. Sue Decotiis, a weight loss doctor based in New York City, told Daily Mail that it's a sign of subcutaneous fat loss. Grande's face also appears thinner, too. Fans of the star recently shared concerns over her slimmer appearance, with one X user (via Daily Mail) stating: "For real tho. Is Ariana Grande ok? She so thin... Im actually worried." 

Mindy Kaling started off as a body positivity icon, so when she lost weight rapidly, it sparked speculation that she was using Ozempic. Users on Reddit commented on post-weight loss photos of the star, with one saying, "It looks like she lost weight too fast and has no muscles. Did she do ozempic?" She appeared at the 2026 Actor Awards wearing a sheer black Yara Shoemaker dress, showing off her new figure. She has been losing weight since 2022, but looks even thinner in this appearance. The star has denied using Ozempic and instead told People that she runs or hikes.

Demi Moore appeared at the 2025 Golden Globes, where she won her first award. On the red carpet, the actress wore an Armani dress, which showed off her collarbones. Dr. Sue Decotiis told Daily Mail: "Demi's collar bones are really prominent. It looks like there's no fat there at all. You can see her tendons in her neck." Dr. Dennis Schimpf, a plastic surgeon, also noted that her pronounced clavicle hints that the star might be using Ozempic or another weight-loss drug.

Wicked star Cynthia Erivo arrived at the 2025 Golden Globes wearing Louis Vuitton and looking noticeably thinner than ever before. The experts weighed in on her new appearance. Dr. Dennis Schimpf told Daily Mail: "She looked dramatically different in her chest and shoulders and than she had in the past." He indicated that she had lost a significant amount of subcutaneous fat. Dr. Sue Decotiis added, "It looks like she lost a lot of weight. Maybe even too much weight." Erivo's dramatic weight loss sparked discussion on Reddit, where users debated about whether she is on Ozempic or has an eating disorder.
