Martha Stewart's Marriage To Ex-Husband Andy Was Never Going To Last
Martha Stewart, whose style has completely transformed through the years, is known for being the woman who is good at practically everything. From hosting to creating delicious recipes, she has turned her talents into an empire. Martha Stewart has even shared which skincare mistake she's begging people to stop making, which means a lot considering she founded her own skincare line Elm Biosciences in 2025. But, there is one area that Martha hasn't conquered and that's romantic relationships. The lifestyle icon has been married just once and that marriage was never going to last.
Martha tied the knot with Andrew (Andy) Stewart in 1961. The couple divorced in 1990, and Martha did not re-marry. She did, however, open up about her marriage to Andy in her 2024 Netflix documentary "Martha." In the documentary, Martha reveals that she cheated on Andy, but that he never found out. She recalled kissing another man in Italy while on her honeymoon. Then, Martha admitted that she once had a "very brief affair" with a "very attractive Irish man" in the 1960s, while she was working as a stockbroker (via People). Andy revealed to producers that he also had affairs during their marriage. Seems like neither was committed to their union.
Martha Stewart recently revealed what she's looking for in a man
Although Martha Stewart hasn't remarried since her divorce from Andrew Stewart, it seems like the mogul isn't giving up hope on finding love. In a March 2026 interview with People, she revealed what she's looking for in a man. This checklist comes after telling Page Six that she believes she's a catch: "I know how to cook, I know how to clean, I know how to keep a house; those are all very homemaker skills." We can also add that Martha Stewart doesn't need a full face of makeup to look incredible.
So, what's on Martha's checklist for the ideal man? She says he has to be "nice-looking," including having "nice teeth and a nice smile," and she doesn't care whether or not he's bald, but he has to have "a nice-shaped head." As for his personality, she says she likes a "smart, funny" man. Martha also added one more thing: "Rich helps. Very rich helps even more. Plane and yacht would be very nice... I love yachts." We wish Martha the very best when it comes to finding another chance at love.
