Goldie Hawn And Kurt Russell Skipped Out On Marriage In Favor Of This One Important Thing
Throughout her time in Hollywood, Goldie Hawn has had a stunning transformation, and much of that time in the spotlight included a longtime romance with Kurt Russell. After initially meeting in 1967, the two reconnected 16 years later on a movie set, and sparks flew. "By then, both of us had been through divorces, and she had two small kids — Oliver and Kate — and I had one, Boston," Russell told The Wall Street Journal. He and Hawn both decided to get back into dating after a divorce, and have been together ever since, but with one caveat. "We hit it off and agreed, 'Let's have fun until we don't.' It's been 43 years," the "Tombstone" star revealed.
A good time wasn't the only reason Hawn and Russell stuck together all these years. What initially attracted the "Death Becomes Her" star was something endearing about her now-partner. "He was so good-looking, but he had no pretense about him. I could tell right away he wasn't a womanizer," she told People back in 2017. And, as Hawn got deeper into her relationship with Russell, she realized he was a keeper. "What really got me was when I watched my kids when they'd come to the set and how he was with them. He was amazing with them. He was such a natural," the mom of four blended kids shared. The longtime Hollywood couple may not be married on paper, but with decades of raising kids together, they're a celebrity marriage we think will stand the test of time.
Goldie Hawn loved how doting Kurt Russell was to her kids
When Goldie Hawn met Kurt Russell, she was raising Oliver and Kate Hudson as a single mom, and saw what an amazing role model the actor was. "He loved my children, and I didn't think I'd ever find anybody who would love my children the way I did. So we parented together, and it was wonderful," she revealed on "The Dan Buettner Podcast." Meanwhile, Russell had Boston Russell with his ex-wife, Season Hubley, and he and Hawn went on to become one big blended family.
Another secret to Hawn and Russell's longstanding relationship is also very relatable. "You have to have good sex. Because sex is something that connects you and creates more belonging. People who have healthy sexual relationships usually last a lot longer. But it's not just because of the act, it's because of the warmth and the intimacy that it creates," the "Snatched" star told E! News. We love that the pair is still having "fun" after all these years!
