Plastic Surgeon Weighs In On Hilary Duff's Face Transformation Rumors

Hilary Duff's name is on everybody's lips these days, and it's not just because she has come out of her music retirement. Amid all the buzz about her upcoming tour, fans are noticing that she looks pretty different compared to years ago. "Did she get filler? Her face looks rounder?" someone commented on Duff's April 2025 Instagram post. However, Beverly Hills plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Michael Zarrabi thinks the "So Yesterday" singer did more than injectables. "What stood out to me the most was the eyes. The position of the brow appears higher than before. The distance from the eyelashes to the eyebrow is higher, and there's more of an arch now, whereas before it was flatter," he exclusively shares with Women. Dr. Zarrabi adds, "The eyelid crease has also moved up very slightly. All of those things together suggest she's probably had a brow lift and a very subtle upper eyelid surgery."

Although fellow singer Christina Aguilera's face has been totally changed by rumored plastic surgery, Duff's tweaks are a bit more subtle. According to Zarrabi, it looks like she's had Botox injected in the upper face area, in her forehead and around her eyes. "You don't see a lot of motion or crow's feet," he points out. Aside from the work he mentions, the expert doesn't think Duff has had any other major work done, and her youthful look could be credited to genetics and some non-invasive procedures.

Reba McEntire's face tune-up was undeniable at the 2026 Grammy Awards, and Hilary Duff is clearly maintaining her looks with plastic surgery as well. Dr. Michael Zarrabi exclusively tells Women, "I'm very confident about the eyes and the brows." However, he continues, "I find it hard to believe that she's had a facelift or neck lift at her age, although her cheek position and jawline look great. There doesn't seem to be much aging over the last 10 years, which could suggest work, but that's harder to prove."

Zarrabi also notes that Duff's nose looks different, but doesn't think she took the plunge and got a nose job. Through his expert eyes, the star's cheeks look fuller, but not obviously so. "Her skin looks great, which suggests she may have had some laser resurfacing or chemical peels," the plastic surgeon adds. As a celeb, maintaining one's looks is important, and it seems to be working for her. In 2021, Dr. Jason Diamond re-posted Duff's makeup-free selfie with her telling fans, "No filter here. Getting a clear and brilliant facial for the first time. Has anyone done this? Keep you posted." One eagle-eyed fan replied, "The facial is good but don't be fooled she clearly had Botox and filler so obviously her skin looks great naturally. I don't think you will get those results after only a facial." Looks like she won't be beating those plastic surgery allegations!
