Kim Kardashian's Extra-High Heels For 2026 Oscars Afterparty Were A Dangerous Look

Aside from pulling off a makeup look that's comparable to Erika Kirk's infamous smoky eye, Kim Kardashian raised some eyebrows for her footwear choice at the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscars Party. Although she looked fabulous in a sparkly, skin-tight molten gold Gucci number, it was her 8-inch, gold Pleaser heels that not only grabbed headlines but nearly caused her bodily harm. In a video she shared on her TikTok account, the Skims entrepreneur tripped in her sky-high $80 heels while on the way to the Oscars afterparty. "Sorry, sorry! My ankle," Kardashian said in the clip, laughing at herself as members of her entourage fussed over her.

"If you don't want to fall into the bushes like Kim Kardashian, don't wear 8-inch heels," an X user cheekily commented. "Oh my, with the combo [of the] shoes and dress it's amazing you can walk at all," a TikTok user commented. Thankfully, the rest of the night went off without a hitch for Kardashian, who gave off the vibes of Elizabeth Taylor's Cleopatra on the red carpet, completing her look with a pair of blue contacts that contrasted well with her shoulder-length black hair.

Kim Kardashian's not afraid to be daring when it comes to fashion

As a well-established beauty and style icon, Kim Kardashian isn't afraid to rock a memorable, audacious outfit on the red carpet. Considered one of her most stunning Met Gala looks, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star showed up to the 2021 Met Gala decked literally from head to toe in a black Balenciaga dress and boots. Her face was completely covered, with not a single hint of skin in sight. If she meant to stand out that day, then she definitely accomplished it.

Then there was her controversial choice to wear the iconic dress that Marilyn Monroe wore to sing "Happy Birthday" to John F. Kennedy in back in 1962. She attended the 2022 Met Gala wearing it, pairing the historical piece with a white fur stole. But before she could wear it, Kardashian admitted she had to go on an intense diet so she could fit into it. "I didn't starve myself, but I was so strict," she exclusively tells Vogue. However, the "All's Fair" actress received backlash after an Instagram post showed that the dress sustained remarkable damage, with rips, tears, and even missing crystals. Perhaps not every fashion statement is worth the risk.
