If you grew up in the '80 and '90s, chances are, you were raised by "Married... with Children" and were a fan of Christina Applegate, whose face has had a stunning evolution over the years. If you followed her story, you may recall that she was tied to another Hollywood heartthrob, Jonathon Schaech, whom she was married to for six years. Now, the "Dead to Me" star is opening up about her brief marriage in her memoir, "You With the Sad Eyes." Applegate recalled (via Entertainment Weekly), "The worst thing was the moment I walked around the corner and into the ceremony. One of my favorite songs was playing, and when I looked hard at the face of my husband-to-be, I thought, 'Oh f***. F***, oh f***." Despite her reservations, Applegate said her vows and went through with the wedding, knowing the whole time that Schaech was not for her.

After their 2001 marriage, Applegate and Schaech separated four years later, with the two finalizing their divorce in 2007. It seems there are no hard feelings, as the "That Thing You Do!" star shared on a "Whine Down with Jana Kramer" episode, "My marriage was connected to my career, everything about my work. It was, you know, Christina is an actress. We were in the limelight. I loved her so much. I still love her so much." Applegate went on to marry musician Martyn LeNoble, and it's clear she got it right the second time around, as this is a celebrity marriage that we think will stand the test of time.

Christina Applegate and her husband were friends first

Although Christina Applegate and Jonathon Schaech's relationship was thrust into the spotlight, the "Sweetest Thing" star chose to be more private about her second marriage to Martyn LeNoble. After welcoming their daughter, Sadie, in January 2011, the couple quietly had a celeb wedding that wasn't a total spectacle two years later. In a 2009 interview with People, Applegate revealed that she had known LeNoble for a long time, sharing, "He's been a friend for about 13 years. Our relationship gets stronger and stronger. I'm really lucky." At the time, she had been recovering from breast cancer, and stated of her then-boyfriend, "I'm very grateful to Martyn for coming along at a time that he did because he's been my rock through all of this. He gave me something to really want to live for and something to smile about."

LeNoble has been by Applegate's side through another health issue: a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis that she revealed in 2021. Since then, she has largely stayed out of the spotlight, but made a public appearance with her family while receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2022. The bassist also accompanied Applegate to the 2024 Emmy Awards, during which she received a standing ovation while taking the stage. Following the appearance, Schaech showed his ex some love by tweeting, "She danced opening night on Broadway on a broken foot! Beat cancer! She's the toughest human being I've ever met! F*** MS! So proud of her! Go Christina!"
