Tiffany Trump Won't Live Down Her Inappropriate Outfit For The 2017 White House Turkey Pardon

As a member of the well-known Trump clan, Tiffany Trump is no stranger to being scrutinized in the public eye. With her dad becoming President not once, but twice, the first daughter has had her fashion choices poked and prodded with increasing frequency. Although Tiffany Trump has experienced some Tiffany Trump has experienced a stunning style transfromation, the scandalously inappropriate outfit she wore for the 2017 National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation has left a lasting impression on viewers — one that has left us all clutching our metaphorical pearls in shock.

"That outfit on Tiffany was entirely unacceptable on so many levels," one commenter wrote in response to a Daily Mail article discussing the look. Another commenter pointed out, "Ivanka looks pretty and dressed perfect[ly] for the occasion, but Tiffany ... needs help." Although her half-sister Ivanka has had her fair share of fashion missteps, for this occasion, she was more appropriately dressed in a double-breasted Dolce & Gabbana coat and skirt, complete with black tights. On the other hand, Tiffany looked distinctly out of place with her extremely short red minidress — which was not even cut off mid-thigh — leaving most of her legs exposed to the eyes of millions around the world. It's an outfit she could pull off at a swanky party during her socialite days, though we are still left wondering why she thought it fitting to wear anything 'mini' to an important White House event.

Fashion faux pas are a given when you've been experimenting with different styles over the years. But the first daughter has not let her outfit letdowns prevent her from pushing forward with some truly breathtaking looks. At a September 2025 state banquet held at Windsor Castle, Tiffany stood out in an ethereal, off-the-shoulder gown in royal blue designed by Lebanese couturier Saiid Kobeisy. While Tiffany's luxurious sequined number made headlines, her stepmother Melania's outfit drew eyes for all the wrong reasons. 

Tiffany did not disappoint during the 2025 Inaugural Ball either, turning heads in a silver, off-the-shoulder Zuhair Murad gown. She was six months pregnant at the time with son, Alexander, though we could hardly tell as the flowing dress did a spectacular job at hiding her bump. "So beautiful," one user commented on her Instagram post next to two heart emojis. From socialite to first daughter, Tiffany has certainly gone through a steep learning curve when it comes to fashion selections and choosing what's appropriate for each occasion.
