Erika Kirk's Gorgeous Hair Transformation

It seems as though Erika Kirk's hair is talked about as much as her political views. Kirk, who's undergone a full transformation through the years, is the CEO of Turning Point USA and the widow of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk. She is often seen showing off her very long, flowing blond locks, which have led many to speculate whether she wears hair extensions or not. Although Kirk has not confirmed if she gets a little help with her hair's length, she is evidently not opposed to styling her mane. Based on our personal experience with hair styling here at Women, because her hair appears to be very sleek and uniformly wavy or curly in photos, it seems likely that Kirk uses both curling and hair straightening tools to achieve her gorgeous look.

Kirk's hair transformation began when she was a child, when she sported a short, bowl-like haircut. As she grew older, she embraced wearing her blond locks down. Sometimes, she even lets the public sneak a glimpse of her natural hair. Kirk's hair transformation from short and sleek to long and wavy is astounding, as she's really made a signature look for herself by evolving from being a tomboy to serving as a style icon to many.

In 2012, Kirk told Miss USA about how she was a tomboy when she was young. She recalled how she wore Jordans and played basketball. She also talked about how her mom hated combing her hair because it had so many knots, so they decided to cut it into a bowl cut. After being a self-proclaimed tomboy for many years, she said she had a late bloom and finally embraced her inner feminine side.

Kirk eventually began to enter pageants in her teenage years and again in her 20s, and it was during these glamorous events that we saw her girly side begin to shine. She would wear her hair down and wavy, and it seemed as though this look gained public approval, as she was crowned Miss Arizona USA 2012. In recent years, Kirk has continued to wear her hair very long, and often down. 

Although Kirk has not publicly admitted to wearing hair extensions, hair and wig expert Amber Renee told The List that she believes Kirk wears extensions regularly, and that they cost her a pretty penny. "The blend, length, and fullness all point to something in the range of about $800 to $1,500 depending on the method and the salon," Renee explained. However, Kirk has not confirmed whether or not this is true.

Kirk is rarely seen without her voluminous tresses and polished makeup look. However, there are times she wears her hair natural, perhaps to prevent frying her hair. Kirk's natural hair texture appears to be less silky than it is during her public events and more lived-in, and can be seen in some of her more candid Instagram photos.

Kirk sometimes sports her short and curly baby hairs, too. There is even a video of her from July 2025 that clearly shows her natural, shorter hair against what appears to be longer, darker extensions. In the video, her hair also appears to be unkempt, which is quite a departure from her signature look. These natural locks have had social media users and critics commenting that perhaps it's time for Kirk to ditch the super-long hair, and we at Women agree. If her mane is too much for her to tame, she should chop it to a more manageable length.
