Martha Stewart has undeniably good taste. After all, she's built a career on expert homemaking skills, serving up tips for cooking, decorating, hosting, and more. But these days, she's evolved into a beauty icon. She's often praised for how good she looks, even as she approaches her mid-80s, because she doesn't need a full face of makeup to look incredible. In fact, several of her social media posts have been labelled as thirst traps. It all began with the viral 2020 poolside photo she posted on social media, showing off frosted lips and shimmering eyeshadow. Fans showered her with compliments, with one fan stating, "Martha, you look better than you ever have. You're beautiful!❤️"

Now, the career powerhouse has even launched her very own skincare line, Elm Biosciences, and we're all curious about her skincare secrets. In an interview with Page Six Style, when asked about the most common skincare mistakes you don't want to make and how people can improve their routine, Stewart expressed, "[People] don't keep their faces clean enough and don't apply enough nutritious serum or cream as they should." In true Martha fashion, she continued, "It's kind of lazy, and I'm shocked that people don't do a better job of it." This is, in part, why she created her skincare line — she wanted to make things easier for others. For now, the line has just a few products: a serum, a night cream and a daily supplement, ranging from $50 to $165.

Martha Stewart's beauty secrets include breaking rules

To help guide others away from their skincare mistakes, in a recent Vogue video, Martha Stewart laid out her morning beauty routine and shared some of the unconventional beauty secrets she uses to achieve a radiant glow. She starts with a hot face cloth to open her pores. Then, she reaches for Mario Badescu's A.H.A. Botanical Body Soap to wash her face. She also uses her own Elm Biosciences serum in the morning, and to protect her skin from harmful UV rays, she uses a mineral sunscreen. Following these steps in the video, Stewart looks radiant, even prior to applying makeup.

She then goes on to her makeup routine. Martha prefers a glowy, sun-kissed look, stating, "I like to glow. I don't like matte finishes on pretty much anything. I like my furniture to be shiny, I like my face to be shiny." To achieve this glow, she uses L'Oreal's Lumi Glotion, which can be worn alone or under foundation, and then pairs it with bronzer, blush, and highlighter. But, on her lips? Stewart glazes on Armani Beauty liquid eyeshadow. Hey, we're all about breaking a couple of rules if it means we look as good and glowy as Martha!
