You Won't Recognize These Celebs Without Lip Filler

Lip filler has quickly become one of the most popular aesthetic trends, drastically changing the looks of people across the globe, especially celebrities. The global lip filler market was worth a huge $1.432 billion in 2025 (a figure that's expected to rise to $1.74 billion by 2030), according to The Business Research Company, with North America having the biggest share of people opting for the injection. Considering how many of our favorite celebs have proudly shown off overfilled lips, though, that's not exactly surprising.

Take Kylie Jenner, who made larger lips a major trend when she totally overhauled her look in the 2010s. "Her influence was much that what was once a taboo has now become a bragging right," Dr. Simon Ourian, who has treated "The Kardashians" star, told WWD. "People want to brag about having their lips done. My social media patients put up a selfie with me so that they can say they came to our office," he added. But after so many years with extra plump pouts, you might not even recognize Jenner or her fellow celebs without their lip filler.

Kylie Jenner finally copped to getting her lips plumped during a 2015 episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." "I have temporary lip fillers, it's just an insecurity of mine and it's what I wanted to do," she said. And the results speak for themselves. In a snap from 2019, her lips were unquestionably larger than in 2012, when her upper lip, in particular, was much thinner. In 2016, though, Jenner admitted in an Allure interview, "I definitely made my lips a little too big at one point."

Social media star Alix Earle looked like a different person pre-lip filler. In the comments of a TikTok video in which she denied getting rhinoplasty, Earle responded to a fan who suggested her face looked more balanced due to filler, "Lip filler changed my face [so much] too." How the aesthetic treatment altered her face is obvious when comparing a 2026 selfie to a throwback from 2019. Alongside strategic lip liner, lipstick, and gloss, Earle's filler helped her lips form more of a pout, and she also appeared to develop a more defined cupid's bow.

Farrah Abraham, who faded from the spotlight after plastic surgery, documented her lip filler removal in a 2018 Instagram video and claimed to Us Weekly in 2025 that she stopped getting the injection. But, boy, did the former "Teen Mom" star look different when she did. Her kisser was so much larger in 2024 than in the early days of her reality stardom in 2012, and, in addition to her multiple other plastic surgeries (including a rhinoplasty and a chin implant), her super-large lips dramatically changed her face.

Kim Zolciak is one of the Real Housewives who totally transformed due to plastic surgery, and enlarged lips played a huge part in her becoming unrecognizable. Speaking on "Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind," she confirmed she got lip fillers as well as the likes of a tummy tuck and Botox. In a 2009 photo, much of Zolciak's lip fullness appeared to be the byproduct of drastically overlining her lips. In 2022, though, her mouth was clearly much larger thanks to filler, as her top lip had almost doubled in size.

Khloe Kardashian got very honest about her cosmetic tweaks in the comments section of a speculative 2025 Instagram video from aesthetics specialist Dr. Jonny Betteridge. Kardashian confirmed she got 'filler in the past but not any over the last few years (I hear it never goes away, so I'm sure it's still there but calmed down 🙏🏽)' she wrote. It's clear by comparing a 2008 snap and one from 2023 that some filler went into her lips. The reality star looked totally different while posing for a kissy face selfie, and her larger mouth played a big part in her physical transformation.
