Side-By-Side Pics Of Celebs Who Have Fallen Victim To 'Ozempic Face'
Multiple celebrities have totally transformed after taking GLP-1s like Ozempic and Mounjaro, but as with any drug, the medication initially intended to help manage type 2 diabetes (but commonly used for weight loss) has its side effects — and experts have warned about the injections' lasting consequences. One of the biggest physical changes GLP-1s can cause is a phenomenon known as "Ozempic Face," which refers to the drastic changes users' faces undergo due to such quick weight loss. "One of the most common things I notice with any form of weight loss in middle-aged and older patients is we don't all lose it in the areas we want," dermatologist Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank, who invented the phrase "Ozempic Face," told Today. "When we get older, definitely the facial volume changes and shifts around. When you lose weight so acutely and quickly ... we're seeing these types of changes in their face where it's actually making them look older," he added.
Frank shared that, in addition to a generally gaunter appearance due to hollowing around the cheekbones, some of those taking GLP-1's have also found they're more prone to developing fine lines and wrinkles as the face loses its plumpness. Others have found they have an excess of loose skin around the mouth and chin, hollow temples, and sunken eyes, while their lips, cheeks, and chin appear larger. While some choose to offset these side effects with fillers, multiple celebrities have fallen victim to dramatically different faces after openly trying GLP-1s.
Sharon Osbourne
Sharon Osbourne has been very honest about using GLP-1s and how the side effects didn't stop when she did. Speaking to Daily Mail in 2023, she shared, "I'm too gaunt, and I can't put any weight on. I want to because I feel I'm too skinny. I'm under 100 pounds, and I don't want to be." Side-by-side snaps show Osbourne's face appeared far hollower under her cheekbones after her experience with Ozempic, while her lips looked larger and surrounded by more obvious lines.
Kathy Bates
Kathy Bates told People in 2024 she'd lost 20 pounds after taking Ozempic, which came after she initially lost 80 pounds through lifestyle and diet changes. The weight loss led to a dramatic physical transformation, including the much more noticeable cheekbones she showed off at the 2026 Critics' Choice Awards. The skin on the "Matlock" actor's face was clearly less plump around her cheeks than a decade earlier, and she'd seemingly developed sagging around her mouth and jawline.
Claudia Oshry
Claudia Oshry confirmed she'd been taking Ozempic during a 2023 episode of her podcast "The Toast," and her transformation since is obvious. Side-by-side pics show the influencer had a much more prominent chin and cheekbones in 2025 compared to a snap taken eight years earlier, before she started taking GLP-1s. Oshry confirmed she'd lost 70 pounds, sharing in the seemingly deleted podcast episode (via People), "Now I look back at pictures and see myself through this new lens and it makes me feel sad. I have very mixed emotions."
Whoopi Goldberg
Whoopi Goldberg stated on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" in 2024 that she'd lost almost as much weight as two people combined with the help of an unnamed weight loss injection. "I am doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help, and it's been really good for me," she said. The difference in the actor's face is clear in side-by-side photos from an event in late 2025 compared to a photo taken in 2021. After she began taking the GLP-1, she experienced obvious hollowing around her temples and eyes, and more lines around her mouth.
Meghan Trainor
Meghan Trainor has been one of the most vocal celebrities about weight loss and medication, and looks almost unrecognizable after her transformation. She confirmed on Instagram in 2025 that she'd lost weight with Mounjaro as well as by making lifestyle changes. "I'm so glad I did because I feel great," she wrote. On the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala red carpet, Trainor showed mild signs of "Ozempic Face" as her cheekbones were much more visible than in a snap taken in 2019, while her mouth seemed larger with noticeable fine lines on both sides compared to before she began taking the medication.
Renee Graziano
Former "Mob Wives" star Renee Graziano's cheeks became much more hollow after she took Mounjaro. The reality star confirmed on Instagram she'd lost 52 pounds in five months due to the GLP-1 and wrote, "When I see photos that show the real, visible change, my clear eyes and genuine smile ... I want everyone to know if I can do it you can do it!" Though Graziano seemingly didn't fall victim to obvious wrinkles or fine lines, her face shape's transformation included a more prominent chin and cheekbones in side-by-side photos taken in 2016 and 2025.
Rebel Wilson
Rebel Wilson, who's nearly unrecognizable after her stunning weight loss, told The Sunday Times in 2024 she'd briefly used Ozempic to aid her weight loss journey. And the changes in her face before and after using the GLP-1 are hard to deny. In 2025, "The Hustle" star's mouth appeared larger than in 2011, and she'd seemingly developed a bit of hollowing around her temples. Wilson also had more fine lines around her mouth when she smiled, likely due to the weight loss that left her face less full.
Rosie O'Donnell
Even Rosie O'Donnell was taken aback by her new look after taking a GLP-1. She confirmed on TikTok in 2025 that she'd been using Mounjaro to manage her diabetes and lost weight as a result. Two months later, she posted a photo on Instagram showing her on stage with noticeably hollower cheeks and more fine lines around her mouth than in 2017. The former talk show host referred to her weight loss in the caption, writing, "I [can't] believe this is me now" alongside the hashtags "#mounjaro, "#weightloss," and "#bodydismorphia."
