Sadie Sink was just 14 years old when she hit our screens as sassy skateboarder Max Mayfield in "Stranger Things" Season 2, and fans have watched her go from nearly makeup-free in character to glammed up on the red carpet. Luckily for Sink, who's had a stunning style transformation, portraying a young teen means not having to spend hours in hair and makeup. While talking to Netflix, she revealed just how long it takes to get ready. "Hair is typically 10 minutes, makeup is five minutes, and then another five for costume. So, like, 20 minutes in total? That's not that bad," she shared.

Mayfield's everyday look isn't much different from Sink's, who also prefers to go makeup-free. "Day to day, I typically don't wear makeup. If anything, I'll use Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Concealer as needed and a gloss or balm rather than a lipstick," she told The New York Times Style Magazine: Australia. However, when it comes to getting glammed up for events, Sink isn't opposed to strong colors and has even brought pops of red to her makeup looks. Now that she's a regular face on red carpets, the "Odessa" star frequently experiments with various makeup styles, but the one thing fans can expect is that Sink will always look like herself.

Sadie Sink had to get used to wearing makeup

If it were up to Sadie Sink, she'd go makeup-free every day, but she had to learn how to rock a fierce face as one of today's biggest rising stars. "The idea of doing a big look and making a statement is kind of scary to me, but I'm definitely getting more confident with trying new trends and not being afraid to go all out when necessary," she admitted to Elle in 2023. Sink continued, "The most important thing I've learned is to do those things that make me feel as myself as possible ... I like looking like myself, the Sadie I see in the mirror every day — that's when I feel the most confident. Let the freckles show, that's always the most important."

While Sink has gotten used to wearing bold makeup, don't expect her to give up her signature red hair anytime soon. Sink's stunning hair transformation has included everything from wavy locks to a retro mullet, but the color has always remained the same. "I've thought about it, but I've never dyed my hair. Anyone who has red hair knows the ups and downs of your relationship with it," she told Glamour. The actor added, "But no matter where you stand, what you hear your entire life as a redhead is to never dye your hair ... So I never have, and I don't think I will. I like the idea that my hair isn't dyed." Hopefully, Sink stays true to her words and never touches that gorgeous natural color.
