Marjorie Taylor Greene's Most Unfortunate Makeup Mistakes
U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has been in the news a lot lately. While headlines with Greene's name in them aren't exactly rare, they're usually about some whack-a-doodle conspiracy theory about the government controlling the weather or Jewish space lasers starting wildfires. But these days things are quite different. Instead, Greene, one of the MAGA women with an eyebrow-raising marriage, has actually broken ranks with Donald Trump and, frankly, people on both sides of the aisle are pretty darn surprised.
Not only has Greene been at the forefront of trying to get the Epstein files released, something Trump has been preventing, but she's also come to her senses on many other Trump-related topics. And, unlike most MAGA politicians who bite their tongue and turn a blind eye, Greene has actually called Trump out on his lies and broken promises. Naturally, Trump responded, calling Greene both wacky and a traitor. In an interview with Dana Bash on CNN's State of the Union in November 2025, via NPR, not only did Greene address how dangerous such words were, especially when said by Trump, but she even apologized for being part of the toxic political climate. "It's very bad for our country," Greene said.
While it's unclear whether Greene is having a genuine change of heart or has something nefarious up her sleeve, there's one thing about the Georgia congresswoman that's stayed the same: her unfortunate makeup mistakes. Granted, Greene hasn't jumped on the Mar-A-Lago plastic surgery trend, so kudos for that, but she really needs some help with her makeup situation. With her resignation just around the corner, maybe she'll have time to work on her techniques.
Too many light shades wash Greene out
It would be straight-up dismissive to ignore what's going on with Marjorie Taylor Greene right now. In fact, captured in a photo from November 17, 2025, taken in D.C. just after Trump withdrew his support of her and she started to receive threats, her face makes it clear her makeup look wasn't at the top of her list of concerns. That being said, between the foundation that's lighter than her neck and chest, the pale coral eye shadow, and the muted pink lip color, Greene looks like she's seen a ghost. Considering she's turning her back on her usual Ebenezer Scrooge ways, maybe she's actually seen three ghosts, and it's not a makeup mistake at all.
Getting a little too heavy-handed with the bronzer
What is it with all these MAGA women and their innate inability to apply bronzer properly? Even one of Melania Trump's biggest hard-to-ignore makeup mistakes has been with bronzer. Bronzer is meant to make one's face look sun-kissed, while creating contours that accentuate specific features, notably the cheekbones. But, as we can see with Marjorie Taylor Greene, she just smeared it all over her face, with zero regard for her bone structure. This left her looking like she took makeup tips from the most orange man in the US: Donald Trump, a man no one should take beauty tips from.
Seemingly forgot to prep her skin with moisturizer
Considering collagen production starts to decrease by 1% every year when you turn about 25, by the time you hit your 50s, as Marjorie Taylor Greene has, moisturizer becomes an even more important part of your skincare routine. In fact, if you want a flawless finish on your mature skin when applying makeup, there are two things to live by: moisturize, and remember that less is more. In a photo capturing her grinning ear-to-ear, it's clear that not only did Greene not properly moisturize, but she went all-in on the foundation, creating a cakey finish that's both unflattering and aging her. Had Greene skipped the full face of foundation, only using it where needed, and really focused on hydrating her skin, the results would have been much better.
Looking like she gave up mid-eyeliner application
While people can wear their eyeliner however they want, to be completely frank, the problem here is that Marjorie Taylor Greene looks as if she got distracted and forgot to finish the job. No rules say that eyeliner should be brought to the inside corner or winged out too heavily, but everything about her eye makeup attempt looks unfinished, unpolished, and suggests that maybe she did it on the way to work. It's also a little too dark for the eyeshadow color, serving up some '90s energy. Greene would have been about 20 in 1994, so maybe she was having a moment of nostalgia with this particular eye makeup application.
Simply overdoing it everywhere
In July 2024, Marjorie Taylor Greene took the stage at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, looking like she had gotten into a fight with her blush, and the blush won. Not only is the blush too bright, but it hasn't even been applied correctly, making her look somewhat clownish. If that weren't bad enough, for this oh-so important appearance, she went too heavy on the eye makeup, failed to match her foundation to her neck and chest, and decided to give extensions a try. What Greene doesn't seem to realize is that hair extensions can look natural on thin hair like hers, but whoever did these failed her.
Greene definitely needs to call in the experts for her brows
Although Marjorie Taylor Greene has fairly bushy eyebrows for someone who came of age in the 1990s — many people in that age group plucked them into nonexistence — she still needs major help in this area. Eyebrows frame the face, meaning the difference between a good set of brows and a bad set of brows is everything. While at first glance it may look like Greene needs to take a class in eyebrow tinting 101, it's not just the color, but the shape of her brows — or rather lack thereof — that needs some help. Because getting perfect eyebrows should really be left to the experts, if Greene just had one appointment where someone cleaned things up for her, it would have a strikingly positive impact on her overall appearance.
Leaving the lip balm at home is never a good look
If this photo of Marjorie Taylor Greene has you reaching for your own lip balm and frantically applying it, you're not alone. Greene's lips look so dry and near-cracked that you want to pull her aside and say, "Girl, here," while handing her a vat of Vaseline or something similar. It's not just about how her lips look, but the fact that when we don't properly moisturize, glosses and lipsticks fail to look their best. In other words, Greene really needs to get into the habit of regularly hydrating her lips.
Opting for such dark eye shadow wasn't the best idea
As we've already seen, when it comes to makeup — especially eye makeup — Marjorie Taylor Greene really struggles. Because of this, we can't really expect much from her. However, her dark eye shadow with her usual ill-applied black eyeliner didn't just make her look like she desperately needed a nap, but also that she may have tripped and fallen, resulting in two black eyes. What makes her eye makeup look even darker is her foundation and her light-colored eyebrows. Greene simply doesn't have the skin tone or hair color to pull off such a dark look around the eyes without it looking like a mistake.
It's time for Greene to start using a color corrector
While the lighting in the photo of Marjorie is admittedly not very flattering, it does highlight the natural skin discoloration that comes with age. Based on Marjorie Taylor Greene's complexion, it looks like she was probably a sun-worshipper at some point in her life, and now, even if she's started to make SPF part of her life, even during the winter months, the damage has been done. An easy way to smooth out this type of discoloration is by using a color corrector — but only on the parts that need correction; not all over. Not only would the right color corrector make Greene look younger, but it would also give her a more polished appearance.
