Meghan Trainor Is Nearly Unrecognizable After Weight Loss Transformation

Meghan Trainor rose to fame with lyrics like "It's pretty clear, I ain't no size 2" on "All About That Bass," but now, after a drastic weight loss, the singer-songwriter looks completely different. Trainor's weight-loss journey started after she had her first son, Riley, in 2021. "I was my heaviest I'd ever been. I was 200 pounds ... I just wasn't feeling great," she told ET Canada (via Today). Trainor began working out and eating more healthily, but she became one of the many celebs who totally transformed after taking a GLP-1, making her look unrecognizable from her earlier years.

In a March 31 Instagram post, Trainor celebrated being honored at the Billboard Women in Music event, but also made sure to address comments on her changed figure. "No, I don't look like I did 10 years ago," she wrote. The "Made You Look" singer continued, " I've been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me. I've worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy." Just like Lizzo's weight loss transformation, fans are divided on Trainor's slim figure, and despite her message, many can't stop talking about her new look.

Meghan Trainor's weight loss is a hot topic with fans

Meghan Trainor continues stir conversation with her weight loss, and it's completely jarring to some fans. One shared on X, "Oof... I rarely say this, but some people do look better with a little fat to them. She needed to diet with foods with natural fats to keep some volume in the face." Another shared, "I think that's what bothers me about Meghan Trainor now. It's not that she lost weight. It's that she also abandoned everything that made her seem human." Meanwhile, a Team Meghan fan posted, "I do think it's miserable that she was body shamed for over a decade for being 'fat' just to be body shamed even harder when she got skinny. Maybe we keep our opinions about women's bodies to ourselves."

Trainor revealed that she tried to block out the noise from critics, but the comments still bothered her, per Extra. "I'm trying to learn at 31 how to not give strangers power," she told the outlet. Trainor channeled her energy into writing "Still Don't Care," sharing, "I wrote down what people have said to me online or in person ... I don't know what's going on, but I wanted to write a big song about it. I was just like, 'I don't care. Leave me alone."
