If you're anything like us, you've questioned more than once if Jennifer Lopez actually ages. The stunning triple threat performer, born in 1969, seems frozen in time and, if anything, looks like she's aging backwards. Check out side-by-side snaps of Lopez at the 1998 Golden Globe Awards and the "Kiss of the Spider Woman" premiere in 2025 and you'll see exactly what we mean.
At the premiere of J-Lo's musical movie, her skin looked just as youthful, smooth, and glowy as it did 27 years earlier. The "Second Act" actor left the thinner brow where it belongs though — it's a beauty trend that can stay in the '90s, in our opinion — and embraced fluffier, thicker arches that were more flattering for her face shape. She'd also learned about over-lining her lips to make them appear fuller and swapped the '90s crimson lipstick for her signature nude glossy pout with a slightly darker outline.
The star adopted a more complimentary makeup palette too. In the earlier shot, she wore a lot of cooler toned products, but her warm undertone foundation, blush, and bronzer in the 2025 image was more complimentary to her olive-toned complexion. Another thing we noticed? Lopez's nose looked slimmer in 1998, though she (or her makeup artist) didn't appear to contour or highlight it back then. But it's not only a change in makeup that's ensured Lopez has stayed looking youthful. And, luckily, we know a few of her beauty secrets.
Jennifer Lopez is dedicated to looking good
Understandably, Jennifer Lopez has been subject to more than a fair share of Botox and plastic surgery rumors over the years. But she's always denied the allegations. After an Instagram user accused her of getting Botox in 2021, the "Can't Get Enough" singer hit back (via People), "LOL thats just my face!!! ....For the 500 millionth time... I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery!! Just sayin."
So, what does she do to maintain that complexion? The Bronx native told Vogue she uses her own line of beauty products, including her JLo Beauty That Big Screen SPF 30 Face Moisturizer and JLo Beauty That Hit Single Cleanser. J-Lo also knows the importance of applying SPF, even in the winter. She revealed in an Instagram video she mixes sunscreen with her JLo Beauty That Star Filter Highlighter and Bronzer, though we wouldn't recommend Lopez's SPF hack of combining it with another product.
That said, there's an argument to be made that much of the "Jenny From The Block" singer's ageless glow comes from the inside out, as she's dedicated to eating healthy and working out — which explains Lopez's killer legs. The star's trainer and life coach Dodd Romero told Us Weekly she drinks at least seven glasses of water a day, and noted, "[She] stays away from processed foods and gets her nutrients from whole sources." He also revealed Lopez works out for 90 minutes at a time, sharing, "We'll go until everything's sore and we've hit every body part." Another of Lopez's top tips for looking good? Positivity and kindness. "One of my big beauty secrets is that I try to be kind to others and lift up other women," she told People. "I think that that is important for us to do for each other instead of trying to tear people down."
