Jasmine Crockett Outfits That Just Didn't Work For The Budding Political Star

Jasmine Crockett rose to fame as an outspoken U.S. Representative of Texas' 30th congressional district, known for her bright, colorful outfits, as well as her colorful commentary. The Missouri native doesn't hold back during congressional meetings; a fact that's so well known about her she even started a clothing line based on her hilarious clapbacks. "Well... y'all asked for it. The 'Chile Collection' is dropping, NOW! Rush over and do something purposeful with your petty. Come back and let me know which style you like the best," she shared on Facebook.

While we love a good shady fashion moment, we unfortunately have to throw some of our own right back at Crockett. Some of her outfits were just not doing it for her, and there was either one detail that threw the look off or she just needed to scrap the entire set. The politician definitely gets props for taking some big fashion risks like Michelle Obama, but sadly, Crockett lost some votes for several ensembles that earned her a thumbs down.

Jasmine Crockett's big bow overwhelmed her outfit

It's always fun to get dressed up for a fashion show, especially if you're sitting in the front row like Jasmine Crockett did at Sergio Hudson's runway event during NYFW 2025. The congresswoman showed up in a smart white blazer and black pants combo that would have been a nice business casual look, except the whole outfit was marred by a huge black bow around her waist. At first glance, it looked like Crockett was wearing a maxi skirt, but it was actually the ends of the bow trailing down to the floor. Suffice it to say, this 'fit was not the gift that kept giving.

Jasmine Crockett's dress was business on one side, party on the other

Perhaps Jasmine Crockett didn't know whether to dress in business or party gear for the 2025 Essence Festival of Culture, so she ended up wearing both at the same time. While speaking at a panel on the third day of the event, the U.S. attorney wore a white blazer dress that was unadorned on one side, but featured bizarre large ruffles on the other. The asymmetrical detail made Crockett resemble a fluffy cloud, and we think her dress would have done just fine without the extra volume.

Jasmine Crockett needs to stay ahead of denim trends

Just like Lauren Boebert who just won't give up the outdated denim trend of skinny jeans, it looks like Jasmine Crockett is holding on tight to her's as well. During the Essence Festival of Culture in 2024, the Rhodes College graduate wore a super slim pair in white, along with strappy Y2K sandals and a blue and white striped blazer. This was a look that was everywhere 20 years ago, but it's just completely outdated now. Wide-leg trousers or even a pencil skirt would have been more current. Also, do we detect ripped knees? Please throw this pair out ASAP, Crockett!

The overload of ruffles on Jasmine Crockett's dress was dizzying

Jasmine Crockett just can't get enough of ruffles, and no, we're not talking about the potato chips. It seems she loves some extra flounce on her 'fits, with an emphasis on extra. Crockett's red dress was anything but quiet, and while we love the bold color, we weren't digging the cascade of large pleated ruffles going down the front of her skirt. The top part of her dress was perfection, from the asymmetrical one shoulder to the large corsage-like detail, but the bottom half was just a dizzying mess. Sometimes, a 'fit doesn't need more embellishments.

The time Jasmine Crockett decided to wear a strapless jumpsuit over a button-down shirt

There's a way to style the dress over pants trend without feeling ridiculous, but we have never heard of wearing a jumpsuit over a button-down shirt. Maybe Jasmine Crockett was trying to start a new 2025 trend at the Tribeca Festival when she opted to wear a silky navy blue blouse under her bright red jumpsuit. We admit that the top of the bust was pretty low, but if Crockett wanted to be more modest, she could have worn the shirt over the jumpsuit and tied the bottom at the waist for a more cohesive effect.

We're shrugging our shoulders at Jasmine Crockett's jacket

A good structured jacket is a staple everyone should have in their closets, but not if it has oversized, pointed shoulder pads like the one Jasmine Crockett wore while being interviewed for Hassan Minhaj's podcast. It looked like she was going for an avant-garde aesthetic, which would have been more fitting for a fashion show or movie premiere. However, it felt out of place for an interview and was a distraction from her talking points. While Crockett's message was eloquent, her jacket was sadly not.

Jasmine Crockett's top looked like it was going to fly away

There are just so many things wrong with Jasmine Crockett's outfit in this photo of her and former President Biden that we don't know where to begin. For one, we're not sure what the purpose was of the swatches of white cloth on the shoulder. If it were to resemble a pair of wings, Crockett definitely succeeded. Moving on to the big slash at her chest — did she find this at an '80s costume store? In any case, it was a tad inappropriate to wear next to the then-POTUS, Joe Biden, who was wearing a suit, while Crockett looked ready to rock on at a hair metal concert.

Jasmine Crockett needed a good tailor

Jasmine Crockett looked gorgeous in her light lavender gown at the 2025 Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, and you could tell she was feeling herself. But while the dress hugged her figure perfectly, the hem was way too long for her petite frame, leaving us wondering how she got around without dripping over the extra fabric. It could have been shortened at least a foot, which would have prevented the dress from pooling around her feet. And while we're at it, let's get rid of the sheer sleeves. Although it's part of the ensemble, the off-the-shoulder style really didn't need them.
