"Young Sheldon" may have been centered around the life of a precocious boy genius, but anyone who tuned into the show would know it's hard to deny that sometimes the amazing women in Sheldon's life stole the show. From his devoted mother, Mary, to his witty twin sister Missy, and even his sassy Meemaw, the leading ladies of this show provide warmth, humor, and so much soul. These female characters are so loved that Meemaw and Missy are often the most commonly mentioned when fans discuss their absolute favorite characters on the show, alongside everyone's favorite Georgie, of course.

And while viewers have gotten to know these characters inside and out for seven seasons, the actors behind them have each their own stories to tell, including their real-life partners. Some of these stars have long-term partners and even families of their own, while others keep their personal lives as private as they can. And some may not even be in a relationship at all, but are prouder than ever to embrace their identity, their independence, and the lives they're building outside of their career in Hollywood. Whatever their paths look like, the real-life partners and stories of these actors behind the hit show are just as captivating as their on-screen characters.

Zoe Perry is all about keeping her love life low-key and private

Playing the iconic Mary Cooper on "Young Sheldon," Zoe Perry told Entertainment Weekly, "I definitely never imagined I'd be playing my mother at a younger age." Of course, the casting couldn't have been any more perfect. Not only does Perry bring warmth and wit as Sheldon's mom, but she also has a strong resemblance to her mother, Laurie Metcalf, who originated the role on "The Big Bang Theory."

While Perry's life as Sheldon's mom was on full display and she quickly became a fan favorite, the actor has always liked to keep her personal life on the quieter side. She wasn't like most celebrities who make grand Instagram posts about their engagements. Instead, she casually revealed her engagement to producer Gab Taraboulsy during a Field Team 6 (a Democratic voter registration group) Award Show held over Zoom.

And it's not just her engagement she kept under wraps. It's rare even to find a photo of the couple who tied the knot in 2022 online. Then again, Perry isn't active on social media, and her husband keeps his social media presence professional. Together, they've crafted a healthy partnership, one in which they don't feel the need to be on full display at all times. What we can tell you is that through other people's social media accounts, we found out the lovely couple adopted a dog together, had a beautiful wedding in Italy, and attended Comic Con 2025 together.

It took four tries for Annie Potts to find her Mr. Perfect

For years, Annie Potts stole our hearts as Meemaw in "Young Sheldon." Full of warmth and a bit of sass, Potts brought life and character to the Sheldon crew. Potts herself loved playing Meemaw so much that when she bid farewell to the character, she welled up with tears as she said (via her official TikTok), "I'm sad to leave her. Sad to leave my friends, but grateful for the opportunity that I've had to walk around in this funny, crusty old woman's way and make people laugh." Off-screen, Potts's life is a full house too, just quieter.

She's been married to producer and director James Hayman since 1990. Hayman is her fourth husband, and in a 2018 interview with Closer Weekly, she said she knew he was the one as he instantly "loved my son ... We were instantly a family, had two more sons together and a very happy life." Together, the couple raised three children, and when the actor does share glimpses into their life, whether that be Potts wishing her sons a happy birthday or sharing a photo of her and her husband on a trip, they seem so close. Beyond the delicate family moments, Potts also shared her and Hayman's LA home with Architectural Digest, a house they chose because it reminded them of their extensive time in New Orleans, as her husband was an Executive Producer for the series "NCIS: New Orleans".

Raegan Revord might be private about love, but they're open and proud of their identity

America watched Missy Cooper grow up on "Young Sheldon." And while that was happening on screen, in real life, Raegan Revord was also evolving. From a young child actor to a rising star, they had to navigate the challenges of growing up in Hollywood while also chasing after their dreams.

Revord's romantic life is something they've kept under wraps, so there's not much information about their public life. However, in September 2025, with the announcement of a YA novel that the actor wrote, they shared a very important milestone in their life: Revord came out as non-binary. The "Young Sheldon" star sat down with Entertainment Tonight for a candid conversation about their experience coming out, and they explained, "It's so cool because growing up, whenever I would see a celebrity or whoever come out as nonbinary or queer, I was like, 'Oh my god, this is so cool, I see myself in you." Revord added that it felt amazing to be that person others can now also look up to.

As long as they keep it private, it'll be hard to get a picture of Revord's real-life romances, but it's possible to get a glimpse of the love they're drawn to through their writing. Their new book, "Rules for Fake Girlfriends," is a story about queer romance, friendship, and self-discovery. It follows a college student navigating a new life, love, and hidden secrets.

Emily Osment had a whirlwind romance

From her days on "Hannah Montana" to joining "Young Sheldon" as Mandy in the last few seasons, Emily Osment, who has also had quite the stunning hair transformation, has grown up in the spotlight. Viewers of "Young Sheldon" loved Mandy and Georgie together so much that the two got an exciting spin-off, "George & Mandy's First Marriage," that aired in October 2024, garnering positive reviews and strong viewership.

When it comes to her love life, Osment went through a whirlwind in recent years. In late 2024, the actor announced she was engaged to musician Jack Anthony. In November 2024, Osment came on "The Drew Barrymore Show" as a newlywed with co-star Montana Jordan, and happily shared she had only been married four days at that point. She mentioned meeting Anthony at a concert, saying, "He was dancing in the front row like a lunatic, and I just pointed at him and was like, 'Who's that?' and then I went over there and introduced myself." It seemed meant to be, but their marriage was short-lived.

Just five months after tying the knot, the actor filed for divorce from her husband, and the two quickly settled their separation in March of 2025. True to form, Osment took no downtime and dove right back into promoting her show, "George & Mandy's First Marriage," and her other projects. In a relationship or not, it's clear Osment doesn't let her personal woes interfere with her career.
