Pics Of Lauren Boebert Prove She'll Never Give Up This Classic Millennial Pose
Whether you love her or hate her, you have to admit that when Lauren Boebert thinks she's found something that works for her — emphasis on thinks — she leans so hard into that thing that it basically becomes her whole personality. We've seen this quirk of Boebert's with the outdated denim trend she refuses to give up, as well as the beauty mistake that she won't stop making. Simply, Boebert appears to be a woman set in her ways, which may or may not be a good thing for a politician.
To further prove her commitment to consistency — and we're not talking about her go-to outfit that's keeping her on the worst-dressed list — Boebert has a particular pose that she does again and again. In true millennial form, Boebert can't stop posing for photographs with her hand on her hip. It doesn't matter where she's standing or who she's posing with; Boebert always has her right hand on her hip — although every once in a while she gives her left hand and hip an opportunity to shine too.
According to Jezebel, via Philadelphia Magazine, the pose started getting a lot of traction around 2006 because it was rumored to make people appear slimmer. However, on the flip side of that, body language experts Joseph and Caroline Messinger interpret the pose as delivering a message about vanity or ego. Whatever the deeper reasons behind it, the fact remains that in being a product of her generation, Boebert will never give up this classic millennial pose — even if it looks extremely awkward.
Posing with Eric Trump and Anna Paulina Luna
In May 2024, Lauren Boebert posed for a photo with Eric Trump and Anna Paulina Luna. While Trump and Luna took a traditional approach, Boebert — wearing her fitted magenta dress and one of her famous ill-fitting blazers — put her left leg out in front of her, in addition to her right hand on her right hip. At only five feet, it makes sense that Boebert would try to lengthen the appearance of her body, but the pose is such a contrast to how the other two are standing that it comes off as comical.
Posing with herself
Because in a MAGA-run country, you can never have too many Lauren Boeberts, here's Boebert posing with a cardboard cutout of herself, as well as a poster of her upper body and head. While the cutout version is in heels and has a gun strapped to its thigh (a look Boebert dons far too often and for unnecessary occasions), real-life Boebert is being 100% Boebert. After all, it doesn't get more Boebert than wearing skinny jeans, having a hand on the hip, and an inability to nail her fake tan.
Posing with a future Lauren Boebert
In June 2020, despite calls for masks and social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lauren Boebert and her super-millennial look descended upon the town of Eckert, Colorado, to promote her congressional bid. While many politicians would attend an event like this at least moderately dressed up, Boebert went for the ever-relatable cutoff denim skirt, a sleeveless top, and both her hand and her gun on her right hip. Boebert took the time to smile for the camera with her constituents, none of whom were practicing proper COVID-19 protocols either. It's one thing to campaign for yourself during a pandemic, but it's another thing to try to create a super-spreader.
Posing with Don Jr. and Durango local police
In July 2023, Lauren Boebert was joined by Donald Trump, Jr. when she was, presumably, campaigning for herself — it would have been a little early to campaign for Don's dad. During the event in Pueblo, Colorado, Boebert and Trump posed with several local police officers whom Boebert called "fearless patriots" who were working to take the U.S. back. Although she didn't specify what the police officers were taking the U.S. back from, it would have been cool if it had been Boebert's distressed jeans and hand-on-hip pose. It's no longer 2005; distressed jeans are the exact opposite of the hottest denim trends, meaning they're severely outdated.
Posing with a fellow hunting-lover
For the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in January 2020, Lauren Boebert showed up serving up the usual: skinny jeans, a hand on her hip, and a gun. Considering this foundation is all about hunting, one of Boebert's favorite pastimes — she's been actively trying to legalize nationwide wolf hunting and wants gray wolves to be stripped of their protections from hunters — the gun makes sense. After all, when attending a gathering of people who feel they have the right to murder innocent animals, it's important to fit in. While the hand-on-hip doesn't do anything for this cause, the gun right below her hand does.
Posing during a campaign stop in Rifle, Colorado
January 2020 was a big month for Lauren Boebert. Although we've already seen that COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns would stop her from campaigning for a seat in Congress, she did do a lot of schmoozing in the early part of the year. On January 31, Boebert took a photo with her constituents in Rifle, Colorado. As usual, she had her hand and gun on her hip, and among the Instagram comments, one person wrote, "You love that hand on your hip pose." Touché, astute commenter!
Posing with a constituent in a bar
In February 2020, Lauren Boebert was still making the rounds, trying to get people's votes, this time having hit up Leadville, Colorado. Boebert is again wearing the same shirt from a campaign stop in January, suggesting that she might be leaning into the polka dot renaissance, or that she didn't pack enough outfits. No matter the reason for the recycled look, the standout part of this photo is the hand-on-hip pose, the skinny jeans, and the red patent leather heels. Boebert also has her gun on her hip in case a wolf or elk busts into the bar, trying to steal everyone's Budweiser.
Posing in Aspen while wearing leopard print heels
When Lauren Boebert took the time to meet with voters in Aspen, Colorado, she proved two things. First, the hand-on-hip pose is an absolute part of her identity. Secondly, politicians just don't look like they used to. As much as the mob wife aesthetic TikTok trend is a lot of fun, it hits different when it's on a politician. Between the leopard print heels, ill-fitting blazer, gawdy necklace, and, of course, the gun strapped to her leg (at a restaurant of all places), Boebert defies class and sophistication. Which might be part of her charm for some.
Posing in front of the Washington Monument
In September 2024, Lauren Boebert took to Instagram to post a new profile photo. As is always the case with Boebert, her fake tan was on full display, as was her favorite pose. In the caption of the post, Boebert wrote in all caps, "Drain the swamp," and because comments weren't limited, the MAGA men had a field day. While this dress is pretty conservative for her and reads appropriately for the photo, just knowing that Boebert has a nearby trunk full of outfits that fit right in a Kid Rock concert makes this picture complete.
Posing while wishing her followers a Merry Christmas
While Lauren Boebert may want to kill off the entire species of gray wolves and has been accused of not-so-nice behavior while at work, at least you can count on her consistency. To drive home that message, either on purpose or by accident, Boebert posted a Christmas card on December 25, 2023. Although it didn't get quite the response that her holiday-related photo of 2021 got, where she's with her four sons who are all holding guns, it was definitely a better look. According to Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, guns remain the number one killer of kids ages 17 and younger. That being said, the hand-on-hip pose wins over babies holding firearms any day.
