It's like a kitten heels fat uncle, and I love it. It's so good for fall and much easier to walk in wet weather conditions. It also looks great with pants." Free People has a square-toed black version with a blocky, geometric-shaped heel that would be perfect for the fall, according to Collins.

The great thing about micro heels is that, like sneakers, you can slip them on and go without a second thought. They instantly dress up your outfit while still having the practicality of being your everyday shoe. Since micro heels are chunkier than their kitten counterpart, stylist Avigail Collins suggests pairing them with a looser pant silhouette. "I do love them with a straight leg leather trouser or a baggy high-waisted trouser, as it's a slightly thicker heel than kitten. It works well with the [baggy] pant," she exclusively tells Women.com. Additionally, Collins recommends trying capri pants, such as this vintage cropped pair from ELLE. "I think these will transition into fall well with a micro heel and a trench coat, a suit jacket layered with a knit, or an oversized boxy cut jacket with a high funnel neck.
