Has Courteney Cox Gotten Plastic Surgery? Here Are The Procedures She's Been Up Front About

Courteney Cox has been honest about her cosmetic procedure past — including her major regrets. Though she's never explicitly confirmed she's gotten plastic surgery, she did hint at tweaking her appearance a little too much in 2022. "There was a time when you go, 'Oh, I'm changing. I'm looking older.' And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years. And I didn't realize that, oh s**t, I'm actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now," she told The Times. The actor added, "...There was a period where I went, 'I've got to stop. That's just crazy.'"

Though Cox didn't confirm exactly what she'd had done and if it involved full-blown plastic surgery, her admission came almost a decade after the former "Friends" and "Cougar Town" star told New You she was willing to try anything procedure-wise. "You know what, I'm game for anything. I'm very open to trying to prolong the inevitable," she said. "I'm a big laser believer — I really think they are the wave of the future. I just did Ulthera, which is supposed to produce collagen, and I'm about to do Fraxel, which will get rid of all these brown spots off my arms, chest and face," she added.

However, unlike the celebs who have been refreshingly honest about their breast augmentations, Cox has made it clear she hasn't gone under the knife to alter her chest. Addressing rumors she'd gotten the surgery around the time she shot the 2005 comedy "The Longest Yard," the actor clarified to Marie Claire, "At the time I had these huge boobs, because I was breast-feeding." And, although not technically plastic surgery, the "Scream" actor has also been open about how she's altered her face in less permanent ways.

Courteney Cox had her fillers dissolved and a negative experience with Botox

Courteney Cox has been more open about her experience with Botox and fillers. Fellow actor Lindsay Lohan also admitted to her own cosmetic procedures while addressing the face lift rumors. Speaking to New Beauty in 2017, Cox recalled getting her facial fillers dissolved after being unhappy with the results. "I was trying so hard to keep up, and that actually made things worse. Now, I'm as natural as I can be," she said. "...I think that I now look more like the person that I was ... I've had to learn to embrace movement and realize that fillers are not my friend," she added. The star also spoke about her negative experience with fillers on "Gloss Angeles" six years later, admitting she really wasn't happy with how they made her look. "Thank God they are removable, but I think I've messed up a lot, and now luckily ... I was able to reverse most of that," she said.

Cox has also been candid about her dalliance with Botox injections, which aren't all about vanity as they can have some health benefits, too. "...There were times when I thought, 'That was nice.' But I had one bad experience when I wasn't able to move my face for two or three months," she told Daily Mail in 2008. When asked if she'd ever get Botox again, Cox shared, "I don't know. I'm sure I'll be tempted when I get older, but you see too many people who look really strange." Regardless of the procedures she regrets though, we have proof that Cox still looks totally gorgeous without makeup.
