Tina Turner Looks That Showed Off Her Killer Legs

When we think of the late Tina Turner, three things come to mind first: her incredible voice, her iconic hair, and those killer legs. Turner knew how much of a stir her toned gams created, too, telling The U.S. Sun, "Sometimes I think I'm as famous for my legs as much as my voice. I only had my legs on show so much as it made it much easier to dance ... And then it became part of my style." She also proved no one is immune to low self-esteem, surprisingly admitting, "When I was younger I never felt confident about any part of my body, but with all the attention my legs received, I realised they must be okay!" The "The Best" hitmaker's enviable assets were more than just okay, though, as, for decades, Turner inspired us to hop on a treadmill in the hopes of recreating her age-defying stems.

In 2008, the then 69-year-old superstar proved age is clearly nothing but a number. She hit the stage for her 50th Anniversary tour at New York's iconic Madison Square Garden in a dress that confirmed her legs looked as strong and toned as they did when she was in her 20s. The stunner wore a sparkly, red mini with slits over both thighs that drew attention to her ever-toned pins. And the talented superstar had a seriously long career full of leg-baring looks before that.

In 1969, Tina Turner wore a skin-baring look that was seriously risqué for the time. She wowed on stage during a performance at a British nightclub in a crochet bra top and see-through, high-waisted skirt, which showed almost every inch of her jaw-dropping legs. But it wasn't just her toned bottom half she'd clearly worked hard for. Her whole body was in tip-top shape in black-and-white photos from the night, as her defined muscles appeared as strong as her powerhouse voice.
