Kelly Ripa doesn't seem to age. The actor and TV personality barely looks older than when she shot to fame on "All My Children" in 1970, but is her youthful aesthetic down to plastic surgery? Well, she's been very honest about her journey, including the procedure she's had and the one she won't get. In a video shared to "Live With Kelly and Mark"'s Instagram in 2019, Ripa revealed she had to visit a plastic surgeon after her earlobes tore due to her piercing her own ears and wearing heavy earrings. "I had gauges, like hanging gauges," she explained. "There's a piece of my earlobe that's not there because [the surgeon] had to sew it together," she added.

Though the star hasn't copped to getting any other procedures for cosmetic purposes, she has been honest about her interest in a breast augmentation — a procedure multiple celebs have been refreshingly honest about. "I've gone to more breast augmentation consults than I would like to admit. Every time I hear about the new boob guy, I go and I have a consult," she said on "Not Skinny But Not Fat." But the TV star explained she hadn't followed through because she'd heard too many botched surgery stories. "I scroll through, like, so many horror stories of boob jobs," she said, adding she also didn't like the idea of having to go under the knife multiple times to update her implants. Ripa did the right thing researching the procedure first, as any plastic surgery comes with risks you should know.

Kelly Ripa has been open about getting Botox, too

Though not technically plastic surgery, Kelly Ripa's also been open about her Botox use. In 2013, she explained Botox (which can actually have health benefits) helped her eyelids look more lifted. "Every seven months or so my eyelid skin rests on my eyelashes. So I feel like it makes my makeup artist's life easier, and it makes my eyes look a little more open on TV," she told Elle. Ripa gave an update 12 years later on "Let's Talk With Kelly Ripa." "If I do [Botox] now three times a year, that's a lot. Maybe twice a year, really ... I do the crow's feet and I do the neck and that's it," she said.

Her decision not to go overboard may have stemmed from a 2015 mishap. On "Live With Kelly and Mark," Ripa recalled the negative experience she had the year prior, sharing (via E! News), "I got bad Botox ... There was about a six-month period where people were like, 'What's wrong with Kelly? She doesn't smile anymore.' And I was like, 'I am smiling!'" In her 2019 Instagram video, Ripa admitted she uses a range of beauty products, including essential oils and face rollers, to stay youthful, joking, "[I try to] look frozen in time." However, she quipped of her efforts to look her best, "Even the Botox is like, hey sis ... maybe it's time to hang up the jockstrap."

The mom of three has also had to deny getting lip fillers. In 2024, she shared an Instagram video talking her followers through the exact makeup routine she uses to make her kisser look fuller. Among her favorite products? Mac Lip Pencil in Spice and Rinna Beauty Larger Than Life Lip Plumping Oil in Illusion.
