Paris Jackson's Style Transformation Has Been Head Turning

Paris Jackson may have initially shot to fame because of her late father, Michael Jackson, but she has since made a name for herself in both the music and fashion industries. As the most publicly visible of the "Beat It" singer's children, Paris is often seen at high-end designer fashion shows, and even walking in them at times. She hasn't always been seen as a style icon, and the model has experimented with her fashion as well as some iconic hair looks over the years. However, it's now safe to say that Paris has found her niche in the sartorial world with her own unique sense of style.

Of course, it's easy to look amazing when you have a world of designers at your fingertips, but Paris always puts a twist on her final outfits. "For all events, I meet with my stylists and tell them what colors and brands I like and the overall style I'm going for. They'll pick a bunch of options, and then I mix and match the outfits myself," she told Fashionista. Since emerging into the spotlight as a young kid, to now being a 20-something fashion icon, Paris has proven just how amazing her style transformation has been.

2011: Paris Jackson channels her late father

Two years after the tragic passing of her father, Michael Jackson, Paris Jackson honored him by copying his style with a black and red leather jacket and a single bejeweled glove during a tribute concert. At the time, she was just 13 years old, already showing off her edgy side with a large bedazzled belt worn over her black shirt and topped with moody brown locks. With her structured jacket and black 'fit, Paris seamlessly stepped into the role of the King of Pop's daughter.

2016: Paris Jackson is in her rock era

Rock music is in Paris Jackson's blood, and it shows through her style. Although she hadn't started her band yet in 2016, she still dressed the part with ripped jeans, baggy t-shirts, and bleached blond hair. "I started the guitar at 13, but it was only three years ago that I seriously committed to music. Before that, I already had a creative approach, but of all my passions, it's really songwriting that came to seem essential to me," she revealed to Numéro in 2022. With her throwback grunge look, Paris had the musician style down pat.

2017: Paris Jackson embraces her boho side

In 2017, Paris Jackson traded in her outdated, super distressed denim jeans for a more whimsical, ethereal look. During this time, she favored long, flowy maxi dresses in embellished fabrics with lots of florals. She really leaned into the '70s look, and told Harper's Bazaar that Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin are her style icons. "I'm obsessed ... And it's an unhealthy obsession because there's never been anyone like them and there never will be. They're legendary and incredible," Paris gushed.

2018: Paris Jackson gets glam

As Paris Jackson started gaining it-girl status, she attended elite Hollywood events, such as the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. In 2018, she showed up in an amazing moss green Versace jumpsuit with a bejeweled bodice and a long, silky train. She paired the outfit with a perfectly matching pair of metallic green heels, and she kept her jewelry minimal, allowing the outfit to shine. Her high-end fashion kicked up several notches, and fans saw her at many red-carpet events that year looking super glam.

2019: Paris Jackson lets out her hippie side

Proving that the '70s were her favorite fashion era, Paris Jackson looked adorably retro in a pair of bellbottom jeans and a crop top at an Alice + Olivia event. The fashionista styled her outfit with a dusty rose cardigan, layered necklaces, and platform sandals that were fitting for her throwback look. Paris was ahead of her time with her choice of jeans, as the formerly outdated denim trend has only recently made a comeback — stylistically speaking, she has always marched to the beat of her own drum.

2021: Paris Jackson favors neutrals

Brown isn't usually the first color celebs wear on the red carpet, but Paris Jackson managed to make even taupe look cool at the 2021 People's Choice Awards. Featuring a low-cut bustier top and a ruched skirt gathered to one side, Paris looked like the ultimate rock star. She told E! News that her aesthetic was "grunge fairy core," sharing, "My fashion kind of just depends on what music I'm listening to." We think she may have just started a new trend.

2023: Paris Jackson's street style is grungy

Some celebrities, like Katie Holmes and Gwyneth Paltrow, are known for their laid-back street style, and Paris Jackson has officially joined their ranks. Looking oh-so-LA, the "Gringo" actor was seen out and about walking her dog wearing layered tank tops, a baggy hoodie, and ripped skinny jeans. We bet the outfit was thrown on without a thought, but it had a very '90s grunge style to it that looked effortlessly cool. Also, we love that Paris was defying her fellow Gen Z folks and still wore skinny jeans that they deemed out of style.

2024: Paris Jackson's style is sexy and sophisticated

There's nothing more alluring than a woman in a trench coat, and Paris Jackson dazzled in her mushroom-colored jacket while attending Stella McCartney's fashion show in 2024. While the "Let Down" singer still kept her grungy, boho style for everyday looks, she chose elevated, yet sexy outfits while out on the town. During the Grammy awards that year, she opted for a black peekaboo dress with a large cutout in the midriff and covered up her multiple tattoos, making a statement with just her gorgeous Celine gown.

2025: Paris Jackson makes bold fashion choices

Proving to be the ultimate style chameleon, Paris Jackson plays around with different silhouettes, such as the sheer gown with cascading sleeves she wore to the amfAR Gala in Cannes. The see-through skirt showed off her long legs, and the silvery bodice made Paris look like an ethereal goddess. The 27-year-old made waves when she wore another sheer dress in March for Stella McCartney's fashion show that left little to the imagination. "Like, it's just a body. Don't get uncomfortable with our bodies," she said in an Instagram Story (via Women's Wear Daily). We're all for Paris expressing herself through her ever-changing fashion.
