Vanessa Hudgens' Naturally Curly Hair Is So Striking

If we know two things about Vanessa Hudgens, it's that she's absolutely gorgeous and she has the most beautiful, striking, naturally curly hair. The former "High School Musical" and "Spring Breakers" actor has proudly showed off her textured locks on a few occasions, including in 2020 when she ditched the hair straighter on Instagram. The short video showed the star sassily shaking her curls, which were a beautiful, warm, chestnut shade. In the caption, she confirmed the textured look was au naturel and she wasn't planning to style it (because, hey, why should she?)

The star also proudly flaunted her coils (which are as head turning as Nicole Kidman's naturally curly hair) in a breathtaking 2024 Instagram snap that showed her laying down in a vibrant, fuchsia dress with her locks down. Her brunette strands cascaded over her shoulders and her flattering bangs with defined curls framed her face perfectly as she flashed a big smile. Her followers weren't shy about sharing how much they loved her 'do in the comments. "You look beautiful! Loving your curly hair & pretty pink dress! What a smile! You look so happy!" one person commented. A second wrote, "I love the pink and the hair is fabulous...."

The products Vanessa Hudgens uses to style her natural curls

Vanessa Hudgens isn't a gatekeeper over how she styles her naturally curly hair as she shared her routine, and her favorite products, with People. "I wash and condition it every morning," she said, revealing she uses UNITE 7SECONDS Shampoo and, seemingly, Kérastase Curl Manifesto Hydratation Douceur Conditioner. "If I don't [my hair] turns into a massive frizz ball," she explained, which is understandable seeing as frizz is a common curly hair problem. Hudgens revealed she then applies argon oil (which a hairdresser tells us can be a great curly hair routine adjustment for winter) and UNITE 7SECONDS Detangler Leave-In Conditioner Spray, which also offers heat protection.

The "Sneakernight" hitmaker also opened up about how she's come to love her mane despite once claiming on Instagram Stories (via Allure), "My curly hair always makes me feel like a madman lol." But she told People of embracing her natural curls, "I feel like so much of my life I had been fighting my curly hair. I am at a place where I am like, 'God gave me this hair. I should embrace it.'" And we more than "Say OK" to that empowering mantra.
