When both Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Jessica Parker have the same book on their summer must-read list, you know it's one heck of a title. So, if you're looking for a good spicy romance book, look no further than Tia Williams' "Seven Days in June."

Williams' book is a one-of-a-kind romance novel that's full of sharp and witty humor, dynamic characters, emotional depth, and some undeniable chemistry. It's why this book isn't just loved by the two actors, but also by TIME, which named it one of the 50 best romance novels to read right now. It was also named one of the best books of 2021 by multiple publications, including Marie Claire, PopSugar, and more.

Williams' work was recognized long before the A-list actors gave their stamp of approval — and we have to say, it definitely lives up to the hype. "Seven Days in June" follows bestselling erotica author Eva Mercy as she reunites with a flame from her teenage years, Shane Hall. Shane is also a novelist, an award-winning one in fact, but he's always remained something of a mystery to Eva. The two navigate a steamy Brooklyn summer together and their chemistry reignites, but old wounds and buried secrets also start to creep in. The fact that the two have also been secretly writing to one another through their books makes this a sexy second-chance love story.

Seven Days in June is a 'celebration of Black joy'

From the best beach reads to add to a summer reading list to nonfiction titles that are engaging year-round, you can always count on Reese Witherspoon to recommend a good read. Sarah Jessica Parker, as well, is another actor who loves a good book. In an interview with Penguin Random House, SJP said her mother influenced her to read at a young age and she's loved books ever since. So when both bibliophilic actors recommended "Seven Days in June," we knew it was a great book.

Selected as a Reese's Book Club pick the same month of its release, "Seven Days in June" was described by Witherspoon as "spicy and romantic ... I just could not stop turning the pages." Witherspoon added that "these characters were so unique and fresh, and [the book] was really a celebration of Black intelligence, Black excellence, Black joy." SJP took to Instagram to rave about "Seven Days in June," grouping it with beloved titles like "Pachinko" and "The Vanishing Half." The actor listed it among some of her favorite emotionally rich novels, which she described as "sweeping family stories [with] sumptuous writing."

Readers seem to agree with the actors' sentiments. One Goodreads reviewer wrote, "THIS BOOK WAS IMPECCABLE!!!! so much deeper than I expected but I loved every second." Another wrote, "This book was breathtaking ... It was smart, sharp, witty, raw, sexy, wise, painful, healing, immersive."
