Style Cues For Petite Bodies From Short Queen Reese Witherspoon

Styling petite bods isn't always easy, but Reese Witherspoon sure makes it look effortless. The 5-foot-1-inch actor knows how to pull off looks that elongate her legs and make her appear taller than her small stature. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Witherspoon has a great stylist on hand. She has Leslie Fremar to thank for many of her best looks for years. 

"She likes to keep things simple and is not necessarily the person who's looking for the most attention at the event," Fremar told The New York Times. Witherspoon also looks to fellow petite celebs for inspiration, telling People, "I always look at other short girls like Natalie Portman and Rachel Bilson, and I'm like 'What's she wearing?' There are a few of us shorties out in the world."

When it comes to outfits, Witherspoon largely stays away from baggy silhouettes and instead leans more toward tailored jackets and fitted sheath dresses. The "Legally Blonde" star knows how to dress for her body, and all the petite gals out there should definitely take note of Witherspoon's classic style.

Reese Witherspoon once told The Wall Street Journal of her Southern style, "We also do a lot with bright colours and patterns. We don't do black. Our black is navy." However, she's since leaned into the dark shade, and Witherspoon has proven that she's the queen of the black dress. During the premiere of "The Last Thing He Told Me," she wore a one-shouldered sheath dress that hit just at her knees, making her appear taller. The fit was perfectly tailored for her petite height, while the all-black shade gave her body a bit of length.

When considering pants for petite bodies, high waists are always a good choice, as Reese Witherspoon demonstrated on the set of "The Morning Show." Her jeans featured wide legs, one of the hottest denim trends of 2025. Combined with a pair of pointy-toed shoes, Witherspoon's legs looked miles long. Her fitted blazer with the slightly cinched-in waist and matching navy top also helped elongate her silhouette while falling just at the right length.
