"Excuse me while I kiss the sky..."
James Marshall Hendrix (better known as Jimi) was an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter who was born in Seattle, Washington in 1942. An incredibly famous and widely-loved performer, Hendrix's career only lasted four years due to his sudden death at the age of 27 in Kensington, London in 1970. Nevertheless, it is easily said that his music has lived for decades long after his lifetime.
Today, Hendrix is loved by fans of all ages. With hits like "Purple Haze" and "All Along the Watchtower" becoming timeless in their own ways, there is not a genuine fan of rock music that doesn't know his name. Hendrix once stated that "Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music," and many people would agree with him. Music is the language that moves us and brings us all together. Hendrix knew that and used his talent to make sure that his music was a force for positivity, truth, and influence.
