Stop! Don't Throw Away That Halloween Costume!
How to use this year's costume to bring next year's kids some joy
Our ever-favorite Chrissy Teigen took to Instagram over the weekend to show off her adorable daughter in a variety of Halloween costumes. I mean... who can blame her? This baby is absolutely adorable. However, she brought up an even more important point with her photo spree.
One thing that many families don't think about for Halloween is that there are many families who cannot afford to buy their children costumes for the holiday. When you're stressed for money, unfortunately, a Halloween costume just might not be a practical use of funds.
That being said, after a child wears a Halloween costume once, they likely will be uninterested in wearing it again.
That's where costume donation can come in.
For those families that can afford to buy their children Halloween costumes (or themselves for that matter), there are many different options to donate them after October 31st is over. Whether you go to Salvation Army, Goodwill, or another local thrift or consignment store near you, the store can repurpose the old costumes to be reused in the future.
Don't just throw away that old costume. Give it away, and bring costume-filled joy to another child's Halloween.
