Anything they can do, we can do better...

It takes two to tango. However, it only takes one to prevent pregnancy. That being said, the responsibility for prevention usually falls on the woman. You know, it's not enough that we're expected to carry around the child for a full nine months. We also are expected to tolerate INTOLERABLE side effects in order to maintain the preventative measures.

Who considers it intolerable, you might ask? Not us women. No, in fact, it's the men who, once put in OUR shoes, are suddenly having second thoughts about said side effects.

That's right, folks.

A recent study has found a new hormonal birth control pill FOR MEN that is effective in preventing pregnancy for their female partner.

The contraceptive was given to 320 men ranging in ages from 18-45 every eight weeks. It is a shot containing testosterone and a form of progesterone, and basically causes the male brain to stop producing testosterone in the testicles, as the body reacts by assuming it already has enough of the hormone.

After monitoring the male sperm count throughout the study, the contraceptive method was found to be effective in nearly 96% of continuing users.

However, as you may have already heard, the study was stopped early. What HORRIBLE negative side effects could have caused such an abrupt halt in such an important study?

Increased libido, acne, mood swings, and depression.

Sound familiar?

Yep. The side effects us women might experience regularly with our own birth control.

"Despite the adverse effects, more than 75% of participants reported being willing to use this method of contraception at the conclusion of the trial," the Endocrine Society, which oversees the journal publishing the study, said in a statement.

So... what exactly happened? The research claim the hormones need to be further investigated, as they're concerned about men having to undergo such serious side effects.

LOL.

Meanwhile, all of us women are over here rolling our eyes. Yet another example of how women are actually tougher than men.
