The movie was produced by Laurence Fishburne, Sid Ganis, Nancy Hult Ganis, Michael Romersa, and Danny Llewelyn and it is awesome that they brought this movie to the big screen because it showcases what spelling bees are really like! The movie was released on April 28, 2006, with Doug Atchison as the movie's director! It really helped us as an audience peek into the real world behind spelling bees and the academic world of spelling! There are a lot of commonly misspelled words in the English dictionary but if you can spell them then you are ahead of the game against everyone else around you!
