How deep are your Polish roots?
Poland's got a red and white flag, 37.97 million people, and a president named Andrzej Duda! It is also located in Europe! There are so many cool words and phrases people can use while in Poland in order to keep up with Polish communication! The former president, Ronald Reagan, once spoke about Poland by saying, "Poland is not East or West. Poland is at the center of European civilization. It has contributed mightily to that civilization. It is doing so today by being magnificently unreconciled to oppression." Lech Walesa, a Polish politician said, "My most ardent desire is that my country will recapture its historic opportunity for a peaceful evolution and that Poland will prove to the world that even the most complex situations can be solved by a dialogue and not by force." Alan Alda, an American actor and feminist said, "Marie Curie is my hero. Few people have accomplished something so rare - changing science. And as hard as that is, she had to do it against the tide of the culture at the time - the prejudice against her as a foreigner, because she was born in Poland and worked in France. And the prejudice against her as a woman." Irish director, Lenny Abrahamson, said, "I went to Poland for the Warsaw Film Festival, and it was quite an intense experience. I didn't think it would be, but it did feel quite emotional to go back to this place I'd heard so much about." All of these people clearly have a deep love and respect for Poland and Polish culture!
