What Is Ritual?

I've always wanted to take a multivitamin specifically for women, but never had the energy. Be it price, convenience, or frankly, remembering to take it, I always dropped the ball. But with the increase in monthly subscriptions, I found taking a vitamin was easier than I made it out to be. I've tried a few brands in various forms, from gummies to powder, and still wasn't completely satisfied. I should also mention, I hate taking pills. I overthink it, choke on them, spit them out, or worse, leave them in my mouth with water which only leads to a terrible taste.

Recently, I was introduced to Ritual. I appreciated their honest candor and straightforward brand. I didn't have to take a quiz or google ingredients I had never heard of. Like most women, I want to directly ingest something that benefits my body, without worrying about the unknown. Ritual quite instantly curbed any hesitation I once had.

"We care so much about what we put in and on our bodies, but when it comes to vitamins, we still rely on blind faith. Too often, companies make their process and formulations intentionally confusing to keep their customers from knowing what’s really going on. We’re proud of the product we’ve put together with no unnecessary ingredients and with nutrients in their best forms. So go ahead and look under the hood—we want you to."

With Ritual, I was put at ease.

"For us, creating the perfect vitamin is more than just combining great ingredients—it’s working with companies that care as much about their supply chain as we do. We’ve worked tirelessly to find the right partners worldwide with the ingredients that meet our standards. At Ritual, true transparency isn’t just something printed on a label."

More importantly, Ritual was created by a woman, for women. The people who created the Essential for Women vitamin and Essential Prenatal vitamin produced something for themselves and other women alike. Like me, they weren't happy with the female centric options on the market and created something they themselves would want.

"We’re not about pseudoscience and half-truths. Health fads make our eyes roll. So, when we set out to develop Essential for Women, we wanted something simple, effective, and backed by real science. We challenged some of the top scientists to dream up the perfect daily vitamin for women. The result is everything we think a vitamin should be."

My Experience With Ritual

I have a few more years till I hit 50, so while I can't review the latest multivitamin from Ritual, I can fill you in on my experience with the Essential Multivitamin for Women.

As mentioned, I have a hard time sticking to a vitamin regimen that worked. I would forget to take pills and give up. Once, I choked, stopped breathing, ran into my roommates room to wake her up so she could perform the Heimlich Maneuver. See, I told you I'm bad with pills.

I was drawn to Ritual because of the "no-nausea capsule design," which is surprising to no one. I found it refreshing that a brand would share this piece of information with their audience. When I downed two pills in one go, I was relieved. Relieved that I didn't choke while home alone, but mainly that they were right, the capsules are easy to swallow.

An added bonus was the very faint mint taste. Usually, tasting the case of a pill is downright offensive, but this time I welcomed it. Did I mention you can take it on an empty stomach? Another multivitamin must-have I didn't know I was so passionate about! I tend to shove pills in my pockets to be taken with food at lunch, when in reality they end up on the floor after I take my jeans off. Not with Ritual, I can throw them down the hatch whenever I please.

Okay, so I reviewed the pill based on whether it made me feel like I would choke and die alone, but you know what? That's important! It's important to people who live alone or take pills sans a roommate around. It's important to know my grandmother can take her multivitamin with ease. I love knowing my mom can take it whenever she pleases, before breakfast or otherwise. But most importantly, I love what the vitamins stand for. Helping women nourish their bodies from the inside in an attainable way. Easy to subscribe to and all. It won't set you back like the fancy multivitamins from Whole Foods. Plus, the brains behind the operation are women, so you know you're in smart and thoughtful hands. I also want to take vitamins made by women, they know what our bodies need.

I highly recommend Ritual multivitamins for women of all ages. Whether you're starting your career, thinking about starting a family, or adjusting to a new body, you get to start a new ritual.

Okay, sorry had to add a pun somewhere in this review.
