Anxiety can rear it's ugly head any way it wants. And for most of us, stage fright is one of them. There are many ways to combat such public anxieties but watching other people (or in this case, characters) overcome hurdles, can be therapeutic.

Below we've featured 10 movies about stage fright that will help you with your own nerves and anxieties. From comedies to cartoons, these characters have the same issues we all have. It's normal to get nervous in front of other people and these movies drive that point home. Allow such characters to help you through your worries and come out on the other side.

1. Step Brothers

Although the depiction of stage fright is wildly hilarious in Step Brothers the fear is very real. Brennan (played by Will Ferrell) performed at a school-wide talent show, only to be mocked and tormented onstage. This caused a fear of speaking (or singing) publicly.. It's not till later in the movie do we get to see him overcome his fear of stage fright in a very powerful way.

Generally speaking, this movie is a must-watch but if you're struggling with public speaking or stage fright, look to Gina. This cute, animated film perfectly represents stage fright in all it's glory. Meena, a teenage elephant has a beautiful voice and supreme talent but her stage fright holds her back from performing. Her anxieties hold her back and affect her chance in a singing competition.
