How To Keep Warm During The Macy’s Day Parade
Baby it doesn't have to be cold outside...
Keep Warm During the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
It's finally that time of year! The air is crisp, Christmas decorations are up a month early, and some radio stations are already playing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". Thanksgiving is just around the corner and that means the Macy's Day Parade is too.
Each year floats parade down 6th avenue and cover 2.5 miles of the city. From Power Rangers to Spongebob Squarepants, beloved cartoons and characters engulf the island of Manhattan. Performers sing and dance at various stops on the parade route, some while moving, a double "whammy" some might say.
Last year the Macy's Day parade had talented performers like Tony Bennett and the cast of "Cats". The Today Show hosts Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, and Al Roker all bundle up, as they do every year, to comment on the floats, entertainers, and all the that happens on NBC.
This year performers include Flo Rida, Goo Goo Dolls and newcomer, Olivia Holt, known for her role on Disney's "Kickin' It". Cast members from the Tony Award winning musical "Dear Evan Hansen" will also perform.
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on Thursday, November 23rd, and you can catch it from 9am to 12pm ET on NBC and streaming on Verizon's YouTube channel.

The Couple That Matches Together, Stays Together (Probably)
Correspondents, Keltie Knight and Kevin Frazier of Inside Edition must've coordinated a few years ago when they were reporting from chilly NYC. Miley Cyrus performed at the 2008 Parade and proved that the military trend isn't dying anytime soon. Head over to Free People to find some stylish structured military coats. You'll command a room or an entire parade. Find some good ones here, here, and of course, hereeeeee.
Take note from Ariana Grande and winner of America's Got Talent, Grace VanderWaal, and get your ears a sassy counterpart. With temperatures potentially reaching as low as 40 degrees, don't forget to keep them warm, you'll still be able to hear all the fun.
In 2016, Kelsea Ballerini warmed herself up with a furry black and white jacket and red leather driving gloves. She was either ready to drive in the Indy 500 or sing on a moving float in the middle of Manhattan! Lucky for her a nice pair of leather gloves is timeless. Keep your phalanges warm and cozy when waiting for performers to wow you.
Or Stay At Home
If you can't make it to the Big Apple, or never intended to brave the chilly temperatures, you'll be tickled to find some cute, cozy holiday apparel is ready for you. Whether it's pants that are perfect for consuming Turkey or a cardigan that can be used as a cocoon once the tryptophan hits, you'll be as snug as a bug in a rug. Add a chic sweater (with a bow no less) and you'll be the watching the parade in style!
