1. Behind Closed Doors
Big Little Lies perfectly emulated what happens in relationships when no one is watching and if you appreciated that aspect then you'll certainly love Behind Closed Doors. Jack and Grace are an idyllic couple, they host lavish dinner parties and seem to love each other unconditionally. But upon further review it seems Grace rarely leaves the house, she never answers her phone, and she lives in a house with high-security shutters...
2. The Couple Next Door
The Couple Next Door intermingles neighborhood dynamic and mystery in a similar way Liane Moriarty did in Big Little Lies. When Anne and Marco attend a dinner party next door, their biggest fears come to light when their baby, Cora, goes missing. An investigation takes place and secrets seem to keep rising to the surface in this shocking thriller.
3. The Nest
The Nest is a little more upbeat than Big Little Lies but dysfunction is at the center of some entertaining family drama. Set in New York City, siblings Melody, Beatrice, and Jack are gathered together in hopes that someone knows how to handle their offbeat and wild brother, Leo. Years ago Leo drove drunk with a nineteen-year-old and the family's trust fund is in jeopardy. Each sibling has secrets hiding in plain sight and reading The Nest might make you aware of your family and the eccentricities that come with certain members.
4. Sharp Objects
Gillian Flynn is a household name at this point thanks to Gone Girl and the subsequent movie. And now, HBO knows what book adaptations work for the small screen as Sharp Objects was a hit for the network as well. Both versions of Sharp Objects are great but the book is especially twisty and unnerving. Camille Preaker must travel back to her hometown to report on grizzly crimes that focus on teen girls. Back under the same roof as her destructive mother, Camille's demons come back full force as she tries to solve more than a few mysteries. The twist is phenomenal and while most fans of Big Little Lies may have already read this one, it deserves a second go around.
5. Little Lovely Things
The "what if's" are abundant in this thriller from Maureen Connolly. Claire Rawlings is about to pass out. She's sick and barely seeing straight as she drives with her two daughters in the backseat. Finding a bathroom in a gas station, Claire passes out briefly. When she wakes up, her world is in shambles as her car, with her daughters is no one where to be seen. The race to get her children back amidst betrayal, unreliable witnesses, and a unsteady marriage make for a great mysterious novel.

The Girl on the Train seems to always be recommended for fans of Gone Girl and Big Little Lies but there's an obvious reason for that; they are all page turners you won't stop talking about. Rachel commutes into the city each morning passing the same perfect house with the same perfect woman each morning. But Rachel's fascination with the people living inside the house take on a life of it's own and you won't know who to believe.

8. Sometimes I Lie
Who is lying? Who is telling the truth? Well, in Sometimes I Lie you'll be guessing till the very end. Amber doesn't know how she got here.
