Snap Map Heat Map Color Meanings:
Scrolling around the map, you'll notice certain areas glowing certain colors. The SnapMap map colors indicate the volume of snap activity in a particular location and range from light blue, yellow, orange, to red. If a hot spot is glowing especially bright red, there might be something interesting going on, like a concert or important protest.
