Anne Frank was a teen writer who went into hiding during the Holocaust. She journaled her experiences in the renowned work Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl.
Anne named her diary "Kitty" after a close friend and each entry began "Dear Kitty." She wrote about all sorts of things, her feelings, books she read, and the people around her. However, part of her diary's magic is that she didn't think others would necessarily be reading it.
There is so much to be learned from Anne Frank and her story. From Anne's diary we find out just what it must have been like to live in hiding for years, fearing for your life and all during the most formidable years of a young persons life. She lives on in the hearts of those she's inspired by her endless optimism and courage in the face of suffering.
