Is the Dragon and the Wolf Rhaegar and Lyanna or Daenerys and Jon Snow? Find out!
Is The Dragon And The Wolf Rhaegar and Lyanna or Daenerys and Jon Snow?
HBO just released the Game of Thrones series finale title, "The Dragon and The Wolf," which has many fans dying to know, is the Dragon and the Wolf Rhaegar and Lyanna or Daenerys and Jon Snow?
It would seem that many fans, myself included, naturally assumed that the The Dragon and The Wolf was a reference to Daenerys and Jon Snow. Especially since the finale focuses on the pair heading to a meeting with none other than Cersei Lanister. However, there is some stir on the internet fan forums and social media about whether that assumption is really the case.
While the true reveal will be made when the Game of Thrones season 7 series finale aires this coming Sunday, there are a lot of clues we can gather till then.
The title of the last episode of Season 7 is "The Dragon and the Wolf".

The Dragon & The Wolf Are Definitely Referring To A House Targaryen and House Stark:
We know this because the sigil of House Stark is the direwolf and the three-headed dragon for House Targaryen. Hoewever, even though there is a seemingly inevitable romance blossoming between Daenerys and Jon Snow (Jon did finally bent the knee, hehe), there are also other possible factors at play.
Why The Dragon And The Wolf Could Be Rhaegar and Lyanna:
Some fans have intelligently pointed out that Daenerys and Jon Snow aren't the first connection between these two houses. The title could very well be referring to Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. And really, wouldn't that be just like George R. R Martin, to make you think one thing only to reveal another? He is the master of subtext and hidden meaning isn't he?
Also, remember that Bran had a vision and knows the truth about Jon's parents, the original wolf and dragon couple. Maybe the season 7 finale title is hinting at the truth behind Jon Snow's mistaken origins? Perhaps this is hinting that Jon's parents were actually married?
I guess we'll all have to wait for the finale to confirm these suspisions, but either way, it's going to be a revealing episode, sure to shake things up even more... As if the show needed any more drama!
So the season finale of #GameofThrones is entitled "The Dragon and the Wolf" & the first thing I thought abt was Rhaegar and Lyanna

If this real I have no doubt this is referring to Rhaegar and Lyanna.
Is The Dragon And The Wolf Jon Snow?
The final fan theory which is perahps my favorite so far is that The Dragon And The Wolf actually is reffering to Jon Snow himelf because he is infact both a Stark and a Targaryen.
the wolf and the dragon refers to rhaegar and lyanna, jon and daenerys, and jon being both a stark and a targaryen pic.twitter.com/yuoXMz7eLZ
