Instagram | Can Someone See If You Screenshot Their Live Story?

A lot of Instagrammers want to know: Can someone see if you screenshot their Live story?

It's no wonder that Instagram users are concerned about screenshots either. If you're familiar with Snapchat, you know that the app notifies users when someone screenshot's a snap. AND since Instagram stories were modeled after Snapchat story snaps, why wouldn't Instagram borrow this notification features as well?

So, without further adieu, if you're looking to make sure that your user activity information is private or that you know when it's not here's the truth about Instagram Live and screenshots:

No.

Phew! What a relief! Currently Instagram does not notify someone when you screenshot their live story. This basically means you can go as crazy as you want with those screenshots without any fear of them finding out!

Please Note: It is a good practice however, every now and then to periodically checkback on Instagram's user privacy standards to make sure nothing has changed.

And, if your still skeptical and you want to be 100% certain that your Live Story screenshots are private, you can always test it yourself! Get a friend to help you and screenshot their story and ask them if they got a notification. Easy Peasy.
