10 Reasons Grey's Is The Best Show On TV
For those of you who are still unconvinced.
We've been following the lives of the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial for 13 seasons now. With all of the love, heartbreak, death and tragedy we've witnessed, the show is definitely great for way more reasons than we can count. Here are just 10 of the reasons why Grey's Anatomy is still the best.
1. You find pieces of yourself in the characters.
Whether it's Cristina's sass or Alex's loyalty or Maggie's slight-neurosis, we find ourselves relating to these characters and their personalities as well as their life circumstances.
2. The love triangles are just too good.
Be honest, you live to see how all of the love triangles unfold. I mean, where else are you going to find a love triangle with a woman, her baby daddy and her lesbian lover?
3. Drama that just keeps. On. Coming.
Sometimes you wonder if your heart can take laughing one minute about something cute that happened and sobbing the next because tragedy struck. It's an emotional ride, but that's what makes it so good.
4. All those good-looking doctors.
McDreamy, McSteamy, Jackson, Owen, DeLuca...
Of course we can't forget about the ladies: Callie, Meredith, Jo, Stephanie...
Look, everyone is attractive. Let's just leave it at that.
5. It makes you feel like you're a doctor too.
How many times have you found yourself screaming at the TV because you know of a better course of treatment? How badly do you want to say, "I need a chest tube! Someone page Cardio! Stat!"?
6. The music is fantastic.
So "How To Save A Life" and "Chasing Cars" might not be your absolute favorite songs anymore, but the other music really is great.
We won't talk about the musical episode in Season 7.
7. Meredith and Derek's relationship is everything.
MerDer forever.
8. You get to live vicariously through so many different characters.
And sleep well at night knowing your life will never be as dramatic as theirs.
9. It's been on TV for what feels like forever.
Thirteen. Thirteen. Thirteen seasons. Do you remember what your life was like before Grey's Anatomy was on television every week? We certainly don't.
10. Every episode is a chance to find your next favorite quote.
Or another favorite: "Oh, screw beautiful. I'm brilliant. If you want to appease me, compliment my brain."
