How well do you know Sir Elton?
Sir Elton John has been a legend since making his stateside debut in 1970 and has retained a lasting popularity that most bands or artist will never know. And with good reason—he's written, sung, and played hit after hit for five decades.
John started his career with a bang with "Your Song," which tore up the charts the moment it was released and he had hits in "Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)," "Crocodile Rock," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me," "Philadelphia Freedom," "Tiny Dancer," "Levon," "Honky Cat," and so many more. He released classic albums one right after the next in the early '70s with co-writer Bernie Taupin and went on to even greater success in the '80s and '90s with his soundtrack work for The Lion King and many others. John is about to retire, but not before doing a year's worth of already sold out shows around the world to commemorate his long, stellar career.
