We mention this only to highlight how popular Snapchat is and show that if you are one of the people that use the app a lot, you may encounter "disk full" on Snapchat too.

The good news is that will let you know what it means, what you can do about it, and how you can prevent it from happening again in the future! Read on to find out what disk full on Snapchat means.

What Does Disk Full Mean On Snapchat?

To understand what disk full on Snapchat means, you have to understand a little bit about how Snapchat works. Snapchat introduced Memories a few years ago and, while they do not automatically save to your phone (not unless you physically download the photo or video to your phone).

However, just because the Memory isn't saved to your phone doesn't mean it isn't stored on it. It, like other short-term data, it stored in your cache, which takes up space on your phone. If you send a lot of Memories on Snapchat, you're going to have a much larger cache.

How to Clear Cache on Snapchat

Snapchat conversations are also cached. Basically, when Snapchat tells you your disk is full, it tells you that both your cache and conversations are pushing your cached dated to the limits and you need to empty it.

To do this, click on your icon in the Snapchat app to bring up your page. In the upper right corner, click on the settings gear. Scroll down to Account Actions and click on Clear Cache, Clear All, and then Clear. This clears all caches on Snapchat.

To prevent Snapchat from telling you in the future that your disk is full, make sure to clear your cache every so often. Do it more often if you use Snapchat a lot!
