Ilia Beauty is the brainchild of Sasha Plavsic and came about after her mom asked her to simply read the ingredients list on her favorite lip balm. Sasha did and discovered that many of them weren't safe! She became determined to create her own lip balm using safe ingredients she wouldn't feel guilty using every day. From there, Ilia was born!
Ilia puts "clean" at the forefront of its mind when creating new beauty products. This means that just because something is natural does not mean that it is safe to use on skin, while not all synthetically created ingredients are harmful for the skin. The company utilizes both safe natural and synthetic ingredients to make products you will feel safe and comfortable using. They also strive to use sustainable packaging, including ethically sourced paper, recycled aluminum, and glass.
