April showers bring May flowers, and May brings a many incredible new romance novels by both new and much-loved authors alike! In this article, we're going to give you highlights of some of the May romance novels we're most looking forward to, including a synopsis of each book and the date it will be released.
The first book in a new series by Beverly Jenkins is among the May releases, along with Book 3 in Talia Hibbert's Ravenswood series, and Book 2 in Jack Lau's Baldwin Village series. Kris Bryant has a new book out that deals heavily with PTSD and survivor's guilt, while newcomer Jennie Davids is releasing her first novel, and both Adriana Herrera and Joanna Shupe have new books out too. 1. That Kind of Guy by Talia Hibbert

2. Falling by Kris Bryant

In the support group, Shaylie and Piper meet and become friends, helping one another heal. Before long, their friendship becomes more, and Shaylie is left torn between coming clean to Piper about confessing what really happened just before the plane crash. If she does, she may lose Piper forever.

3. Ice Cream Lover by Jackie Lau
After Drew's fiancee leaves him at the alter and trashes him in her book Embrace Your Inner Ice Cream Sandwich: Finding the Positive You in a World of Negativity, which turns out to be a bestseller, he swears off ice cream. Too bad his young niece doesn't get the memo.
The budding foodie drags Drew to Ginger Scoops, an adorable Asian ice cream shop, and her favorite place in the entire world. Because Drew spends a lot of time watching his niece, he ends up at Ginger Scoops often, drinking his black coffee, refusing to eat any ice cream, and pretending he isn't staring at shop owner Chloe Jenkins.
Despite kissing Chloe, Drew has sworn off women, believing he'll never be good in a relationship. But Chloe is different, making Drew wonder if she'll be the one to convince him to give both love - and ice cream - another shot.
Ice Cream Lover will be released May 21, 2019.
4. Rebel by Beverly Jenkins
First in Beverly Jenkins' new Women Who Dare series, Rebel follows Valinda Lacey as she heads to New Orleans to help recently emancipated slaves find a way to not just survive, but also to flourish. Unfortunately, not everyone is happy with the Black community's new freedom. The school Valinda worked so hard on gets destroyed and becomes a target. Fleeing for her life, she meets Captain Drake LeVeq.
Drake is an architect from a family that has lived in New Orleans for ages, so rebuilding the city and making it a better place is something close to his heart. Right away, Drake admires Valinda's determination and wants to know her better.
But that's when Valinda's father informs her she must come home to marry a man she doesn't even love. What will they do?
Rebel will be released May 28, 2019.
5. New Ink on Life by Jennie Davids
After nearly five years of being cancer-free, Cassie Whiteaker decides to take charge of her life, leaving a steady job to apprentice as a tattoo artist. MJ Flores has never been concerned about what people think of her, but it would devastate her to lose Thorn & Thistle, her tattoo shop. Still, she knows she's struggling and something has to give.
MJ's old mentor asks MJ to to hire Cassie, her new protégé, which does out of out of loyalty. Cassie's a little too clean-cut for her, but her background in business could help turn the shop around. They make a deal: Cassie will come up with a new business marketing plan while MJ helps Cassie find her "inner bitch."
MJ begins to see Cassie's true, compassionate strength and the pain she's endured when clients begin to request her. Around this time, Cassie finds it harder and harder to hold her growing feelings for MJ at bay.
New Ink on Life will be released May 27, 2019.
6. American Fairytale by Adriana Herrera
Book 2 in the American Dreamers series finds Camilo Santiago Briggs, a social worker in New York City, dreaming of his happily-ever-after. He grew up being taught he shouldn't trust anything he didn't earn himself, and knows most men who seem too good to be true, in fact, are. He makes a point not to mix business and pleasure, but a random hookup with a hot guy breaks all the rules.
Coming from nothing, Thomas Hughes built his billion-dollar business through perseverance and hard work. Tom prides himself and knowing what he wants and going for it, including that gorgeous stranger he meets at a black-tie gala. That stranger turns out to be a social worker for the agency Tom's now funding.
For Tom, meeting Milo again is kismet. He wants to be his Prince Charming and showers him with gifts. The thing is that Milo doesn't seem interested in any of it. He just just wants Tom, the real Tom. As they navigate their new relationship, they discover that they both have a lot to learn about love and each other.

7. The Rogue of Fifth Avenue by Joanna Shupe
Frank Tripp may not have grown up with financial security or respectability, but he's managed to gain it on his own thanks to his hard work serving wealthy New York brokers. He's known for fixing anything. Except for the reckless daughter - the reckless and beautiful daughter - of one of his most important clients. She doesn't seem to understand what danger is and Frank is at a loss.
Mamie Greene lives for the excitement just below Forty-Second Street, living as a modern day Robin Hood and doing what she can for people. Too bad her father's lawyer keeps getting in her way of helping struggling families. Mamie is surprised by both Frank's persistence, and the feelings she gains for him.
